Quick question plz help!

I need to kno if it is mandatory for a police officer to call a minors parents if they are caught in a smoking situation?? If so, can you use this against the cops in court?

yeah your under 18, you pretty much dont have many rights, it all goes to your parents. congrats on getting busted :P

oh and as far as if its mandatory, well he dont HAVE to call your parents, but it has to be immediate (sp?) family. (such as guardians)

Well heres what happened, plz take time to read it, i would really appreciate it, and give me your opinion
me and a friend of mine drove to a friends, about 15 miles from where I live. We got caught hotboxing my friends car, and the officers pulled us over, and put us all in a car, they didnt handcuff us, but they did write our information on what looked like a white rectangular card, or paper. They took the weed, pipes, bubler, and scale, the officers then told us our rights, and then told us they werent going to arrest us, or take us in, but they did say they were giong to write a report and then I would get a court notice in the mail. After that, they let us go, which two of us are minors but they didnt call our parents. The funny thing about it is, is they didnt give us any tickets or anything, even though they said we were going to be charged.
My question is, do you need to have a ticket to go to court? If so why didnt they write us one? Were they just trying to scare us?? When one of the officers took my friends bubbler, he showed it to the other female officer and her response to it was "Niiice" so, do u think these cops cud have just been fucking with us??

Chances are since ur a minor..and im guessing like 16? and they looked up ur record which was probably clear. and seen you still had a brain to use. So they could of just messed with you and confinscated all your stuff. But they did write it up and probably put it on record, so if it happens again, you'll be charged with your second crime, and the first one. Its what they do in Ohio, so they may do it their.

man the exact same thing happened to me they took away my buddies hookah a couple pipes some weed and my treasured bubbler, and took down all my information they tried to tell me i was going to be charged so i was like alrighty ill see you in court so after they tried to tell me a bunch of other bull shit there like ok were only going to give you 20 hours community service so i told them i get a smoke break every 30 mins and they were like ha ha nice try kid so i just closed the door in that pigs face and went downstairs and rolled a joint. to this day i havent done a single minute of community service towards my 20hrs i figure they owe my for taking bubbles away

Ya your right, im 16. Nothing was in my posession, althought the officer said thats what the charges are going to be for. So I honestly dont kno.

in PA if ur a minor u dont have to be arrested they can call you up to i think its a year and say hey we decided to pursue charges....im from NY , PA police called me three months after they gave me a littering ticket to pursue possesion charges.

yeah dude, when ur a minor you have absolutely no fucking rights, the court sytem completely fucks over minors. and for me it didnt even go to my parents, the judge didnt give a shit what they had to say, he did what he wanted to do, shit, the only advice is get a lawyer or public defender even its for something small, it can only help you out. UGH i hate nebraska!!! :mad:

haha in nebraska your considered a minor till 19, just so they can fuck u over an extra year...i room/cell mate (watever u wanna call it) in juvy was 18, and he got caught in texas, and wen they were holding him for the few days till they brought him back to nebraska they didnt know wether to send him to county or juvi...they sent him to this nasty juvenille prison for like 4 days.

well... u know whats fucked up is, when i went down for my UA for school is i had to sign off on who could see my UA, like if i wanted my mom to see the UA or if the school could see my UA, so i figured what the hell, sigended off for every1, but if i would have been 13 or younger, my mom would have had to desiide who it could got to... but yea, alot of the times, when u have to talk to a cop about doing sumthing stupid, or sumthing fun(the fun part getting high) the dumb thing(builing a lil fire in the middel of the winter with snow on the ground or smoking a ciggeret) the cops say they will call your parents/leagel gariuns, they dont, ive had to talk to the cops a few times over possesion and on the way to getting high, or doing sumthing stupid, and the cops said they would call my parents, we havent had a cop call to my house since my lil bro got in a fight and got his ass kicked,

Hmm... well. I got caught at a party with about 2 grams of weed. But it was only the girl's parents, so they took the weed, and made everyone go home. I don't think I'm allowed over there anymore.

i was 21 at the time i got pulled over, he made me and my frend walk home and escort my mate that was driving home and talked to his old lady, i was still pissed off cos my mate had only taken one toke, the cop sed if we didnt hand over our buds he wuld have taken us all to the station, i was guna say all we had was wats in me cone but then he wuld have taken that and i wasnt guna lose me cone.
