i am not sure about that either but i think that you must start flushing after week 6 into 12/12, for one or two weeks with pH balanced water

On average about the end of 6 weeks is right depends on the strains flowering lenth. The trichomes tell the story, you want them mostly all cloudy. I'm near the end of 6 weeks on northern lights and was exspcting to go 8 weeks . However looking at the trichomes I don't find but a few clear ones so I will start to flush at the end of six and most likely harvest at the end of 7 weeks. If the trichomes start to turn amber they are past prime.

LOC is right.

You will want to stop feeding (N) about 10 day's before you start to flush so factor that time in too. That will force the plant to use up stored chlorophyll and improve the over all taste.

A lot of professional growers of all plant types will run straight H2O (ph balanced of course) every 2 weeks. This "allows optimum growth".

for what its worth : )

Stop feeding any nutrients, just plain PH ballanced water. Trichomes are the cystal looking stuff on the female flowers and the little single leaves that come out of the flower buds. You will need a 30x magnifacation. When you see them they look awsome, like golf balls on golf tee's. Look in the faq's section there is a chart that shows them. Let us know how it goes.

Well that depends on the nutrients you are using in the first place. For those who use 3-part nutrients can do that but if you are using just one-part nutrients I don't know how. LOC is right about the trichomes discription.
