Dallas area basically, 21. Oh, and there aren't many texans with that "typical texan accent," just in case anyone who hasn't been here isn't shocked when they get here. lol

You should also check out the local forum for texas

Howdy SomeGuy,

I live in a town so small, that my exact location will stay classified..I ain't got the luxury of being anonymous in a big city, like all of y'all young city-slickers in this here thread..lol. I'm 46 and do have a Texas accent, that gits thicker, the more I git agitated..lol. There are other Texan's here, that are almost as old as me and some that are older, that haven't weighed in yet,on this thread,I reckon us older stoners might have a problem with the generation gap..but as long as there was a comfortable spot to sit,we could just watch y'all younguns run around like chickens with their heads cut off..lol..and be mostly happy..lol.

Btw,have any of y'all ever seen a chicken run around after it got it's head twisted or cut off ? It's pretty wild man..I tell you what ! lol Roosters last the longest..I seen one live almost 7 or 8 minutes once, after my old man twisted off it's head..it was pretty freaky,it was one of the biggest roosters I had ever seen and we called it Barney. When we fried him up,his heart was so big, that my brother and I,split it ! We had to kill it,because it was attacking us younguns, which hurt like hell..and Barney finally made the mistake of attacking my grandma..so she ordered it killed..dang..it was like eating a turkey !

Have a good one !

Howdy oldhippie,

Well daggum ! You got paid ? Man..I got rooked..lol.

I have alot of kin folks living out there around the Longview/Marshall/White Oak area, ain't been to see em in too long..I reckon that we could share alot of familiar stories..yet another reason to sit in the shade and let the young stoners run around like chickens with their head cut-off or twisted off...lol.

Have a good one !

Up in the Plano area here. And too old to admit to on this board. I start to feel really old when I see the ages of some of you young pups. But I'm betting us older fellas could hold our own in a smokefest.

Just finished chowing down on some really good barbecue from Red, Hot & Blue. Wish you guys could have been here to help us eat it. We had waaaay too much food. The good thing is that I know that tomorrow I'm eating GOOD for lunch!! Gotta love those leftovers!

Anybody know of any good rock concerts coming to town anytime soon? I missed John Fogerty and John Mellencamp this past weekend. Anybody know of any other good shows coming?

Onward!

Howdy jj,

Do you mean the total number of posts on these here boards,or the Texas local forum ?

I don't have alot of posts, because I usually only make meaningful posts..I insert my opinion, only when I have something useful to say. It ain't the number of posts that count-it's the quality of posts that count..IMHO.

Have a good one ....

Howdy Torog,

I just wanted to begin a sentence like that.

I know a married couple, who lived in a trailer park in Chesapeake, with 3 (maybe 4) kids, who were from Texas and had moved back there a two, or three, years ago. They're big time puffers, the guy is 30 (about) and the girl is older, how much, I don't know. I think they're both half-mexican, but they look more Puerto Rican.

If you meet/know anyone who lived in Chesapeake (the wife worked in Virginia Beach) named Paul and Lisa (both are larger than average) tell them beachguy says "Hey". They'll have no clue what you're talking about, so don't use beachguy. Paul likes to Golf, go golfing with him.

Howdy beachguy,

Well..if I do run into them,I'll certainly follow yer suggestion..but I ain't never played golf before..'cept miniature golf..lol..and I wasn't too good at it either..lol. Heck, the local golf course here, probably would call the cops on a long-haired,bearded hippy like me..lol..if I was foolish enough to go out there..lol. Back in the 70's,I used to go out there when I was helping my dad run a restroom service and paper products company..and they didn't particularily care for me to be out there then...lol.

Howdy beachguy,

Well..this area is very redneck and conservative and the local golf course,is where the good ol boy network, gathers to figure out ways to screw us poor folks around. For example, the good ol boys, will run any business out of town, that dares to pay over the minimum wage, because they don't want to have to start paying their employee's more money. My former chiropracter, was a memeber of the chamber of commerce and he dared to complain about the wage fixing, his membership was cancelled that night and he left town,2 weeks later.

Up in Altavista, VA, I know a "redneck" who looks just like you (well, maybe not as drastic), and he called me a yankee. He was joking, he's a really funny guy, but it's true, I am.

When you say the people around you are redneck and don't approve of your look, it gets me thinking that they are more of the "prissy" and "preppy" types of redneck. I have to run, be back in 25 minutes.
