i completely agree... atliens is a classic hip hop album.. if you are interested in the best lyrics in hip hop, and hands down the best beats, check out the WUTANG CLAN... rza makes beats like no other, method man(you might have heard of him, check out his first album, Tical , as well as red and meth-Blackout) Method man always raps about smokin, lol... everyone in the clan drops knowledge over deep, gritty beats... someone mentioned ghostface killah earlier, he is one of the best rappers in the game, anything from his 2nd album, Supreme Clientele, is worth checkin out... Ol Dirty Bastard, his 1st album, Return to the 36 Chambers, is a classic wu joint... also, Enter the 36 Chambers and Wutang Forever by the Wutang Clan are classic albums...

besides the wu, i would suggest beastie boys, biggie smalls-ready to die, snoop dogg-doggystyle, 2pac-makaveli, busta rhymes-when disaster strikes, cypress hill- black sunday(if you havent heard them, cypress hill are dedicated smokers who make songs about, you guessed it, smoking... fugees, mos def, and nas...

Jedi Mind Tricks - Outerspace I can't stop listening to that album I like the track Qrown Royal. Also Non Phixion, Geto Boys there are all good. Much better than that weak slug shit. F*** atmosphere they are so played out, shit is weak, but Murs is alright I just don't like slug and I know a ton of people in the Twin Cities who would agree.
