When to change your bong water

Bong or bubbler water to be more specific.

When do you change it? Do you let it get nasty and smelly? or do you change after ever use?

Also another question I had; What do you think the best way to get a bubbler resonated is? Smoke out of it as often as possible ya I know that but is there a diff in resonation due to the changing of water and/or build up of ash in the water?

I change my bubbler water as much as possible. Sometimes being stoned prevents me from finding it worthwhile to change the water. The amount of water in the bubbler is the real issue. I have around a dixie cups worth of water, that gets bowls snaped into it all the time. The impurity of the water changes much faster than a bong with a big old reseviour. I hide my bong far to much to ever get to the point where it NEEDS to be cleaned. Basically when it tastes digusting as hell though.

I always empty the bong at the end of the session. Why somebody wouldn't want to start a bong session with nice fresh water is beyond me.

My bubbler is a pain in the ass to change, and with the bong you need a source of water and a place to dump it. If you are sitting back relaxing it's much easier to just load another bowl, than run around with water and such.

I once accidentally swallowed some bong water, and I damn near vomited all over the place. That's why I use this fancy new invention called a sink. If you're getting higher, it's a placebo effect, since THC is not water soluble.

i won't let it get filmy and nasty, or to the point it's able to produce smells from 2 feet away. but i dont' clean it every time either. i either clean it ever coupe of days (that's if i'm not able to smoke everyday) or after a good 10 or so bowls. maybe less. just depends on if it's making the weed taste bad. also, when the ice in it melts and i desire to add more ice, i go ahead and dump it, rinse it and start off fresh.

since my parents dont let me smoke, i have to empty it after every session, and fill it back up before every session, and it doesnt really bother me having to do that everytime

well, changing the water after every time i use the old bong would be excessive because i usually use it more than once a session. i would say once every day or two is about right.

That's... pretty fucking gross, my friend. Just pour it out into a sink or toilet... and even if you don't have that, just open up your window and pour it out onto the ground below.

I change it after everytime, because I heard that if you leave it in there, it can shorten the life of your bong. Not sure if it's true, but I'm not taking any chances on it. Plus, I just love the flavor of smoking weed through a bong with fresh ice-cold water. That's just me, though.

I got a buddy that has a 3 ft. Geo....we were doin' bongs one night and I thought I was trippin. Every time he took a hit it looked like something was floating up and then sinkin' back down. Turned out to be a big fuckin spider got into his bong! Damn, little bastard O.D.ed on pot!!! :D

I change mine, not everytime, every 2nd or 3rd time I guess. I like to put just a little bit of water in the bottom, and a little bit of crushed ice. Nice, smooth hits.

It's imperative that you dump that motherfucker each and every time. Sometimes, you may need to take a break during a session to freshen-up your piece. For example, saturday night, about 6 of my friends came over, and we were all smoking out of the same bong, an old glass standby I bought at a flea market when I was in Portland a few years ago.

Anyway, after about 5 grams, the water was fucked-up, and the inside of the bong smelled terrible. It was so bad that I felt physically sick from the stench, so I just walked it into the kitchen, gave it a quick scrub and rinse, then refilled it. Problem solved.

Sometimes, I like to put a few drops of mint oil in the water to give it a smooth finish.

I clean my bong-- as in scrub it down with isopropyl alcohol to clean ALL of the resin out-- before every session, and replace the water while someone else packs a bowl. I personally like hot or boiling water, because the steam makes the hits go down soooo smooth....

Good weed tastes amazing; ash tastes the same no matter what quality buds you're smoking. Why would you want to taste ash when you could just taste dank goodness?
