my boyfriend is having a heart opperation on monday, nothing too serious, just a problem that arose without him realising. my question is how long do you think we will have to wait before smoking again, we are heavy smokers and it has never affected him before.

Any operation is a major operation. Especially with the heart. I wouldn't smoke right away, i would maybe even giv it a few months. Who know's iv never had the operation done to me before, so I have no personal Expierience. :o

seein as how its a heart opperation, the insanely fast heartbeat you get when smoking could be pretty bad

dude, just eat the weed, ull get high for longer and not have to worry about your heart.

the doctor will probably tell him how long he should wait for resuming smoking (not weed, he'll say something along the lines of don't smoke/use any tobacco products for _ _ _ _ _ _ __. if he doesn't, then tell him to ask how long before he can go back to smoking cigarettes. whatever the doc says for cigs will go for weed too.

it doesnt matter if you eat it or smoke it, once the chemicals enter your bloodstream your heart will start to pump faster.

i smoked before both of my ops and it didnt affect me but i didnt smoke for a while after just to be kinda safe. most likely he wont want to smoke afterwards

well he came out of hospital the next day and he toked that night, he couldnt wait any longer, he already had to miss one night
