Hey I too am new to Dallas. I live off the tollway and frankford. I am from Los Angeles, the Valley to be spicific. I came here with my job but am concidering going back to Cali because I just cant find any good weed here. Its all "stress" or "swag" or what ever you all call the shit witht he seeds and stems in it. I am used to b+ to a+ grade stuff and its really killing me. I met this guy and he had some decent stuff but he has not had it in like 3 months. Have you had the same luck?
Hey---yeah it is like that here, which it why I'm on this site. Doing some research, ya know? I think you're gonna have to start meeting more people, going to clubs, etc....or learn how to be a farmer like I'm doing hehe. Dallas is supporting *several* hydroponic stores right now...what does that tell ya? I was in a store here this afternoon. They have EVERYTHING you need dude. Good luck, be careful.
About moving back...I don't know what you do or how much you make but this area is just about the best place in the country to be buying a house right now. You can live well here, but yeah sometimes its not perfect. BTW I'm less than 10 minutes drive from you:-)

Welcome one and all. If anyone finds a decent source between DFW and Shreveport, let me know. oldhippie56, 30 min east and you might be a redneck... You'd have to go way south to be a coonass. I've spent many days and nights on Caddo and on Black Bayou and would qualify for the old hippy moniker myself.
Hehe Someone called me a coonass once! I was too shocked to even respond (which is unusual for me). Was the first time I had heard the expression. I'm pretty sure I'm not a coonass, but it makes me wonder:-)
I really like east texas, Caddo (and that catfish place yummm), but I don't get out there much. Pretty much stuck with a soul-killing corporate job here in town.
I say grow your own! Seems to me a good solution. My problem right now is seeds. The plan is to either rent a PO box, or bring some back from Amsterdam. But I dont know, I'm new here. I'm pretty handy with plants. I already know how do stuff like topping to increase yield, cloning, feeding, hydro, etc. I've just never applied those skills to this particular herb. I aspire to have a grow-thread on this site like some of the others I've enjoyed. I have especially liked reading HARDDON's threads because it seems like he went from newbie to respected grower within a few months, and its obvious he's enjoying the whole process. Anyway, hi again.
