hey guys , is anyone among you with previous growing experience using NFT?
i am really anxious to know what watering schedule should i have on my plants...
so far i am into the third week from seed (day 18 from seed) and almost two full weeks into the trays under 2x400 hps (one on each 6sqft NFT tray)
NFT really looks promising and if done properly i would expect to get maximum yields, double at least compared to soil.....
today i calibrated the pH and EC testers and adjusted the levels on the tanks.....one tank reads pH=5.9 while the other pH=5.7, both of them have EC=1.5 or if you prefer it in TDS=1500ppm (i think)
i know now that the pH&EC numbers i've got are the right ones but still i do not know wether i should change the watering timing or not, right now the pumps are on timer 15 mins on and 45 mins off.
my lighting schedule is 18/6, had to cut 6 hrs of light as on 24/0 costs too much when running 800 watt of hps, also i thought that the plants need some time to rest ;)
take care and thanx for any replies i may get:)
NGOS:)
PS. the nuts i am using are Cellmax, made in holland;)
