Turns out Bush could have nailed him years ago.
According to the CIA field commander at Tora Bora, U.S. intelligence absolutely knew that Osama Bin Laden was not only present, but virtually trapped. All the CIA and Special Forces guys needed was additional conventional support to cut off his escape, and Bin Laden would have been arrested.
This was in December of 2001.
But Bush and Rumsfeld never sent the additional troops.

Actually if you want to point a finger, Clinton had him in the cross hairs several times and let it slide!

This is what I dont get , ok. Admittedly the USA isnt all "righteous" however. Other countries that are republics and claim freedom have assasinated people before so lets not say the USA is the only one. (just want to make that point before I continue).
Here's a good idea for future "cia" operations. When you abandon someone you've trained for over a decade and funded. SHOOT THEM WHEN YOU LEAVE.......seriously I'm not a big fan of USA policies. But seriously that would have saved thousands of lives. (of course russia might own afghanistan now hehe, but I'm not going to speculate on that part).
(and no I'm still what most of you would call a commie liberal pinko ;) so don't think i've changed I just have no aversion to violence. I do after all serve under MY religion of Natural Selection.)

As if both sides couldn't be wrong. Nope, in America it's supposedly always right vs. wrong, Republican vs. Democrat, liberal vs. conservative, black vs. white.

i really do, how can you leave such a ''criminal'' get away?
don't play fool any more people...you have to face it sometime that Osama bin Laden will die as free man not because you will never catch him but because you're not after him in the first place...
all this joke, the war in afghanistan etc. is happening only the keep your forces occupied, to find a meaning for their existence and to sell more and more weapons....
because in the end you will leave from afghanistan just like the russians did a few decades ago, with the head down....and then you'll find another country, like bolivia i.e. to point your guns towards to
your nation is known as ''the protector of freedom and democracy'' , ''the protector of the poor and the opressed''.....and if there will be no opressed nations left, you will use the means to create one so as you will interfere again and again and again until everyone will be using american products and speak the english language...
you must face the truth sometime and watch a few times the documentary film farenheit 9-11 to learn a few things about who governs you and what happened those days that more or less everyone wants to forget......
so my bottom line here and the question i have for you is: how did you feel when the two planes crashed in the towers?
i can imagine how you felt.....anger and despair...that's exactly how an afghan boy feels when his village is wiped out by an apache attack helicopter....only in afghanistan there's no tv to show what's really happening;)

I wasn't the one initially pointing a finger dude. Heaven forbid that I mention that Clinton had several chances when Osama was STARTING his operations. Why of course it's ALL Bushes fault...until after the next election then people can bust that Presidents balls for all the worlds faults.

It's not all Bush's fault. It's just that whenever anyone says anything damning about Bush, you have to go say something bad the Democrats did. But I've said it before and I'll say it again, parliamentary/presidential elections mean nothing. The last election was decided by the Supreme Court, not the people, just one of the most recent blatant examples of how the real power lies not with the opinions of individuals. If the majority opinion had been expressed, Gore would be president, and he would be doing the same things Bush is doing.

Guess I should have just put in here; yep, he surely did!
Comparing Gore to Bush now? Be thankfull that Gore didn't get in. You people think your losing your rights now remember, it was his lovely wife Tipper that was behind the music rating system. She wanted a lot more control than that if you remember...thats if you actually watched the hearings on TV with Tipper and Frank Zappa going at it!

See, there you go again, pointing out how the Democrats would have restricted our personal liberties, as if it lets the Republicans off the hook.

No, I did not, but that has nothing to do with the hole I just poked in your fallacious argument.

08-25-2005, 02:18 AM
Oh yes, you really got me there. FACT Clinton raised the anti-drug budget from 1.5 billion to 16.5 billion. Tipper was the one that put labels on your music and made companies include lyrics. Al Gore was all for jumping gas prices so high that we would HAVE TO go to electric cars.
Wooooooops, I didn't mention what an Ass Bush is!!!

By the way, did you even WATCH the hearings or just bitch when they were done?

You still fail to see the fallacy in those arguments: just because the Democrats do/did/would have done bad things, does not mean that the injustices of the Republicans (such as introducing the Patriot Act, used to clamp down on freedom of speech by non-violent individuals such as Sherman Austin, opposing the rights of gay people to marry, befriending brutal dictatorships like Saudi Arabia, opposing medical marijuana, etc.) are acceptable.

I already stated that I did not watch them. I never expressed any fondness for Tipper Gore, the Democratic Party, or anything of the sort. I despise them as much as you do, so I don't see what your point is.

You act as if the only people in Government is Republicans. I really don't see anybody from the other party bitching about these issues. Hell, Kenedy's to drunk to bitch about anything! Show me floor votes on these issues where the Dems got lynched in congress and senate.
And again, did you watch sweet Tipper on TV?

My point is this. You have a group of people with clubs and a dead man in the middle, you don't point a finger at the "one man" with a club in the middle of hundreds. THEY ALL are guilty as charged so lets not be pointing fingers at one scapegoat, all the bitches should have to explain! :D

As I said before, Congress and the Senate are powerless to express the true interests of the populace. The problem is with BOTH the Republicans AND the Democrats. They are both worthless parties for effecting real change in the interests of the people. They are both concerned with the advancement of corporate power, because if they weren't serving business interests, capital flight and profit loss would occur, they would be blamed for the resulting bad economy and would lose the next election. This is how big business keeps tight reins over politics. Once in power, any representative is free to abandon all their promises for social change in the interests of the people in favor of business interests, and they have been doing so consistently for well over a century now.

I posted to quick...my error, bitch slap to the right! :D
Couldn't agree more with ya on the special interests! THATS why we need limited terms on these people. Your lifers in congress and senate run the show and waste the doe! It's easy for these fucks to be on TV supporting one thing when their voting record states an alter ego.
When Jesse Ventura was elected in Minnisota he was loved by the people because of his policies he wanted passed. To bad the state legistature douched him! When you vote for a President I'm a believer that you vote a strait line ticket so the dude has some support with like ideas. If Jesse would have had the privilage of that, he may have turned shit around.......MAYBE?.!??...Who knows, I'm stoned! :D
