First off let me say these boards and you people are fantastic learning material. I have read the message boards here and 1 other place and boy I had no clue. I just went to the store and bought an ordinary grow light. But now I have a fighting chance. I have a 400W MH on the way and in the mean time I am using 2 150W Floro's that have 2,600 Lumens each for only 4 plants (each plant about 2 inches tall in 6" pots). I also have 2 fans running constantly. My question to you is this...Do I really need a 400W MH? My closet is small and really retains the heat (with the cheap grow lights not so much with the floro's). I would prefer not to use the MH if I dont have to. Do you guys have any advice?
I will check the board a few times tonight if more information is needed. Any suggestions provided will be listened to intently.
Thanks
Just give the flouros a go if would rather.
They will grow some very nice bud.
It would be nice if you could get one more to make a total of 450 watts but if not try with what you have.
I grew many times with flouros and had great results.
The only thing with them is you have to keep em very close and this means moving them up nearly every day to stop scorching of the leaves.
Also you will need to swith em over to 12/12 at about 4" in hight so they will stop growing at about 12" in hight.
Reason being is a flouresant light will only give good growth for about 8-10 inches.
My plants would have one long sausage like caola bud weighing in dry at about half oz.

Thanks for the information I will be picking up the 150W CF tomorrow in the AM. What if I pick up 2? Will I be able to have the plants grow taller and or fatter? I have the lights parked right about 2 inches away from the plants as of now. I am going to have to figure out a system in order to move the plants on a daily bases. They are just plain old construstion lights with thongs to grab hold an place them.
Thanks

Hold up fellow cultivator!!! You may want to check out www.ozonelamp.com
I swear by these CF bulbs, not only are they much brighter than your standard CF, but they are coated with TiO2(titanium dioxide) which nutralizes odor, kills bacteria and mold, and even releases small amounts of CO2!!! I'm telling you these bulbs are the best CF lights I've ever used. I have four 42watt bulbs over 10 white widow plants. I don't even need an ionizer and my plants are so lush you would freak!!!
