Since school is starting soon and someone else already made a topic about it, I'm jsut wodnering how many people hear do well in school? Like honor roll and the like? The stereotype is marijuana smokers are stupid dropouts, so I just wanna see how many people hear actually do above average in school.

I do pretty well. Predicted all As and A*s for my GCSEs. I think you just have to get the right balance, think, should I smoke this now, or in a couple of hours after Ive finished this homework or revision or whatever! I neva get stoned aorund exam time, I daren't! My parents have come to expect good grades from me and I dont want to go from getting A's to D's, suspision may arise!

It was at 3.57, but went down cause i got a couple C's, from retarded projects in driver's ed...(which in it you're sposed to drive, right? instead we like..reported accidents, wtf. so i got a 20% on that project, hehe).

But yeah, I do alright, hopefully I can pull my gpa back up this year, if i can get it up to 3.6, i'll be able to get into the school i want really easily (if i get around 28-30 on the ACT).

And weedlover...I smoked before both final days (we have it stretched out..which sucks, but we get out early each day, so that's alright), and I managed to get all the grades I needed. It helped me relax and not be so stressed about them, so it was good.

But I started getting B's in math and I was pissed since I had never gotten a B in my life b4. Then i started smoking End third marking period and got and A fourth marking period. I thought that was sick as hell and I was like, yo weed definatly amkes you smarter. Then I got a D on my final. I'm lucky as shit I still ened up with a B for year in amth. Wow, I am stoned as fuck right now.

I'm at the University of Chicago working on an M.A in mathematics. I went to University College London where I graduated with a First or highest honors degree, and I got a full scholarship to do my masters. Smoking has to be kept under control, but, aside from exercising common sense, I have a good time and always get high at least once a day. My dad was the same way.

4 days seems like nothing! GCSEs are stretched over weeks, at least 2! So as soon as one exams over the next cramming session starts! Id probably try smoking before exams except these ones really count! I wish I was in year 9 again!

Have any of you ever had a teacher teach you whilest stoned? I did once, my English teacher! We kept asking her questions, and she couldn't even remember the question! Eventually she found a video, played it and just sat down. It was so funny!

i normally get anywhere from a 3.2-3.4 ( 4.0=All A's )
i usually get A's, and B's... maybe a C or a D... very unlikely. This was the first time i've ever got a D in my life this year... my math teacher SUCKED

yea my high school is hard as hell, but i usually get Bs and As, with an occaisonal C. unfortunately i let marijuana get way too controlling at the end of last year and i finished with 2 Fs 2 Ds and a C and a B, from skipping at least two classes every day.

Oh, Shit. Math is my thing, man. My advice is to get a tutor. Tell your parents you need one, or go out and buy a piece of tutoring software that'll teach you step by step. Math is very important, and you won't be able to graduate college if you can't atleast get a C in a college algebra class. Math is the most important thing, after english, of course. Not joking: take care of it now if you have a problem. The longer you put it off, the harder it will be! I'm going to get a Ph.D in Mathematics after my M.A, and that shit is so complex, even I might make a B or two.

I just graduated high school this spring and was first in my class with a 4.18 GPA on a 4.0 scale (getting A's in "advanced placement" classes raise your GPA .03 per A) and got a 32 on my ACT's on 4 hours of sleep and hung over. Lets just say I do alright.

I used to have really good grades until I slowly began to stop caring (not due to pot, this was before I started smoking). I just realized there's far more to enjoy than getting exceptional grades, being in all the advanced classes, going to a top rate college, and getting a high paying job. I'd rather just sit back, take it easy, get a decent college education with a decently paying job that offers career oppurtunities later on in life to support a family.

But yeah, I usually get around a 3.5 GPA. And I got a 34 on my ACT, so I guess thats pretty good.

pot does not make you any less intelligent than you were before smoking. The only thing that smoking pot will do to you as far as your ability to learn goes is that it does harm your short term memory slightly, but even then, that is not a serious, life-long thing. Your entire memory capacity should come back within 1-3 months of stopping smoking. The problem with drugs and grades comes when people start caring too much about the pot/other drug and stop caring about other things. The pot is not what makes grades fall or makes you fail classes or tests, you fail because you would rather just get stoned than study.

I have a weighted 4.667 (an A in an AP/honors class counts as a 5 on the 4.0 scale). But I only got a 2140 on the SAT (new SAT, which is out of 2400 now for those who didnt know), so i must take it again. I really like Yale and Princeton, although I go to Berkeley for the summer and my sister goes there and it's a really great stoner school.

I\\\'m kinda biased, my school was a backwards clone of a similar local program (\\\"magnet\\\" programs, ours ripped off the technology magnet down the road..with half the budget and teachers coming and going like there was a fucking revolving door there); I got about a 3.2gpa by the end of it with AP classes and precalc but I bullshitted the entire time and went to school after staying up all night and getting stoned often..I dunno..the program is doomed to failure so I guess I lost motivation.

I failed 9th first go around...left with not 1 full credit. Got to 10th and just about did the same exact thing, except skipping was introduced to me. Missed about 30 or so days of 10th each semester, but luckily got by with a little last minute effort. The trick is to just stick it out...Do not drop out, for you will live up to what everyone expects of you. You have to go against the "groups" they classify you as portraying. This year feels a little different, maybe I will try for honor roll. Albeit this year has only consist of 1.4 weeks thus far...

I'm pretty much like the rest of you guys smart as hell, I just don't apply myself. On exams and stuff I do awesome almost better than most of the kids in my grade, but since I don't do my homework my GPA is shot. It's funny because every year at the beginning of school I tell myself I'm going to do really good, but them halfway through I'm like "fuck it I'll take it in summer school."

Never aply myself at all. Im smart as hell on like terra novas and stuff (standardized testing) cuz thats all thinking but i never do homework and i never study before a test or anything. I managed to not go to summer scool but that was because what i failed was a half credit class and i pessed the 2nd semester class with flying colors so it all worked out. I did have yto go for demerits.(top in my class may i add)120... I was on the brink of getting kicked out. Still havnt gotten my roster yet though.

i started smoking it at the beginning of this year, within a few weeks it became pretty much a daily habit.. weekends.. most nights after college.. sometimes in my free's at college too.. so yeh quite heavy smoking for 7/8months so far

if im honest i wasnt expectin to do well at my AS's at all BUT yesterday, got the results... an A, B and C so i was very fucking pleased.. i failed biology too but thats cause i stopped doing any work for it after xmas.. im not really hard workin, ill always prefer to talk all lesson rather than work and not bother with homework etc etc and then many of my non-weed-smokin mates failed a few or got low passes like D and E etc..

yeh so weed hasnt lowered my grades in the slightest even tho up until yesterday i thought it might of done
