I just switched light cycle to 12/12 a couple of days ago and it seems that my plants are really takeing off growth wise...Is it normal to see a surge in growth during this stage? I also added hygrozyme to my nutrients and stopped using H2O2...Cut bottom of roots that where sitting in the nutrients about 2 inches...didn't slow down growth or put plants in shock!!!!! thank GOD for that...also roots seem to be growing back the tap roots again from the main root...wonder if it is from the hygrozyme??? Will post pics in the morning...tell me how they look please..PEACE

I always get a surge after the switch. They know what's up. Most people do a resevoir change to bloom nutes right at the same time as the lights go to 12/12 too. That always gives them a kick in the ass too!!!!!!!

That always gives them a kick in the ass too!!!!!!!you should not change to bloom nutes until the 2nd week, the plant needs a week of transition to adjust to the time change, actually, alot of growers flush during this week so that the plant is ready to uptake those fresh bloom nutes, then, You get a kick in the Ass...Imho :)

I follow General Hydroponics guide to nutrient changes and "recipes". Their early bloom phase is actually a combination of grom and bloom, good lookin' out though!!!!!!

This is what I have been going by as far as nutes go just adding 1-1/2 tsp of calmagplus instead of epson salts and 8 mil per gallon hygrozyme to my 3 part.... BD97's recipe for General Hydroponics 3-part nutrient solution designed for aeroponics and other constant feeding strategies. Ml per gallon.
Epsom salts are used at 1.5 tsp per 5 gallons of Reverse Osmosis water. pH is held around 5.8. Blossom Blood (a bloom additive) is added at week 3 and they are flushed for the final 12 days.

yeah, there's a few of those recipes available crop specific to growing weed. I use GH Floranova series. I think GH created Floranova for marijuana growers. Some of it's marketing strategy is obvious that it is intended for indoor cultivation of marijuana. THere's a little more in it than the 3-part, stuff beneficial to marijuana in particular. The way they recomend using it, and when, is the exact same life cycle of marijuana plants. I'm willing to bet that about 25% of GH's sales is from home growers of marijuana, maybe more.

THe feeding program you seek is posted on General Hydroponic's website. They have it for Floranova and the 3-part system. It includes usage of supplements such as Diamond Nectar, Floraliscious, Florasheild. These are all beneficial and compatible supplements. I use Hygrozyme, Cal-Mag Plus, and Silica Blast as well. I use them in the amount recomended right on the bottle. It's a lot of stuff to get, but it's all available online at any Hydroponic shop. You can buy all the stuff in quarts and sometimes pints too.

Here's some REAL advice. I can't stress the importance enough of keeping tight reigns on pH levels. Invest in an American Marine Pinpoint pH monitor ($90 US). It's a great gadget that monitors pH constantly, down to the 100th of a point. You can actually watch your pH rise or fall so you know which way it's going, and how and when to react. If you screw up your pH, you can set your plants growth back by days (or grams and ounces).
Keep pH between 5.5 and 5.8 during Grow
Keep pH between 5.8 and 6.1 during Bloom
Do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sometimes I let it go up to 6.1 then I change nutes and back to 5.8-5.9
