Lately theres seem to be lots of stupid useless threads, and threads containing the same polls such as ("what do you smoke with?")...ect. I think it might be useful to post a sticky telling people to either search through the threads before posting...or look up your question on somewhere like Google, or www.erowid.com, before posing the question on here. Also maybe a warning about threads that are too stupid.

:D I understand what it is you are saying, but what you need to realise is the this site is growing by the hour and there are always new ppl posting on the boards. Ron is working on new systems all the time to put in place, but we all need to be a bit more tolerent of all the other members. With that said we all get to choose what we say and read on this site ;)

I agree to an extent. I try to just point out to new people where to find their answer in another thread and hope the new one dies a natural death when they switch to post in the pre-existing OMG NO LIGHTER threads or whatever the case may be.
We gotta remember there are lots of young'uns here lookin for advice they cant ask their parents or rely on their friends to be educated enough to help.
So until there is a better solution, I find a gentle nudge in the right direction works well. And, it keeps them from just leaving and drinkin the whole bottle or poppin too many because they didn get proper guidance. Lets not be too harsh on them eh.

All these questions mean that alot of new people aae coming here and it up to us to tell them what they need .Otherwise why are you here?,only for your own benifate and thats not how it works.

i dont agree.

if the posts are useless, well who cares.

u know here its like a cycle, youll get many many different threads during a year, and then youll always get the same thread comin back coz ppl forgot we posted em or coz there are new ppl.

so my bet is when u read the title then just dont answer the post if your not interested by it. i personnally dont care sharing my views or whatever even if i alrdy answered to a similar thread months ago or whatever.

I disagree SG, threads like that can have different answers every time someone replies. Besides, it helps newbies get used to the community and become part of the community instead of just researchinge everything.

God forbid a message board have anything to do with messages...
