I think they are wasteful, not when you are going in on a blunt with 2-3 people then its not, but otherwise, its like 2g in a blunt, im fucked up for an hour or two. Id rather smoke like the 5-6 bowls id get out of that 2g, over a period of like 4-5 hours :D

Well with joints and blunts, obviously, they are pretty much burning all the time until it's gone. That means that between hits, it's still burning. When I take hits with a bong or especially a pipe, if I try I can make sure so that 100% of the time the stuff is burning, the smoke is going in to my lungs.

I might consider a blunt if I had lots of schwag or something. It gets annoying having to take like 100 bong rips of schwag just to get high.

Blunts definately do not burn much at all when your not hitting them, and they are never wasteful. Maybe they use a little more weed than most things, but the high is way better, and to me, lasts way longer than 2 hours, sometimes getting into the 4 hour period.

Usually on a good day we smoke like 4-5 blunts in a day. 2-3 people on it. 1 gram in a blunt. Most of the time it's a blunt wrap now cause people just wanna grab a blunt, go to the park, ball up, and blaze lol

Then consider that with a blunt you're smoking the entire thing, whereas with bowls some smoke and thc will accumulate on the inner surface of the piece. Another thing people don't realize is that once they feel stoned enough they can put the blunt out and re-light it when they desire.

Blunts are definately wasteful if they arn't rolled properly, if they only burn for five minutes you did something wrong.

Totally. Blunts don't burn like zig-zags; the leaf is designed to last. If you distribute the bud evenly and with the right tightness, a blunt will last a lot longer than a Joint.

In this respect, I'd have to say that blunts are not wasteful, and get me more stoned than anything else. I've smoked shittily rolled Joints before where I took one good puff, and it burned down like a motherfucker.

blunts are sick, everyday after school me and my 2 friends each throw down $5 and roll a tight 1 gram blunt that easily burns for 20 minutes. We always save a roach and then later that day we pack the roach and the .5 and get flared agian. go home, pass out and do it agian the next day

No they arent wasteful, if anything joints are wasteful (no offence to you joint smokers out there). But blunts burn slower and joints burn slightly faster, they have flavor to them and they are just easier to roll...

Blunts are only wasteful if you have 15 bucks to get you stoned for the whole day. otherwise, be a boss, go around town smoking blunts all day, i mean thats what we do around here when we are bored. and as far as the time it takes them to burn, i dont know if you guys talk about the days current events while you smoke , but if im smoking a 1 gram blunt it takes about 8 minutes to smoke it and thats hitting it ,hold 10 seconds, blow out, wait about 15 more seconds,reapeat til done with maybe 1 30 second break to catch my breath. Take two grams of weed, roll one into a blunt and pack the other into a bowl, then smoke the blunt see how high you get, then smoke the other gram out of a bowl and see how high u get, I will bet my life that as long as its the same amount and strain of weed that you will get much higher off the bud you smoked from the bowl. I mean it doesnt take a genious to know that its fucking common sense. (which potheads seem to ignore alot)

Even though cigars may not burn up that much when not being smoked, keep in mind there is also cheap-ass TOBACCO burning out. Don't get me wrong, I love smoking blunts like the next person, but I also realize that there is a lot of weed being wasted, as well, tight or not. Think about how long it takes for the thing to burn itself out? That's THC going right out the window, my friends.

I once knew a guy who lived down the hall from my apartment and he always had great herb. However, he NEVER EVER EVER smoked from anything BUT his g-bong as a general rule because he savored the THC so much and hated the thought of wasting THC like that (he explained it to me once). Now THAT is a smart stoner.

Think about it this way. You smoke from a g-bong and get huuuge rips. But subtract (I'd say about a 1/3) of that smoke out to equalize what is wasted with blunts or jays. It's almost depressing...

I think blunts, like joints, are more wasteful than bongs/bowls/vapes. The only reason they get you higher is you're forced to keep toking so you don't waste too much smoke. With the bong/bowl/vape you often put it down and space out for a long time between hits, so you don't get as high. If you want to get as high as you would smoking a blunt/joint, keep toking and don't space out till you're stoned enough.

i'm not much experienced with either blunts or hotboxing, but i would imagine blunts would be much better for hotboxing since none of the smoke sticks to your bowl or anything like that. if they do waste smoke, i theorize that this would be better for hotboxing (if you had plenty of blunts) because the space would become smoked up quicker and wouldn't really be wasted.
