my closet setup ... pics what u think???

okay think is my closet set i got about 40 in there with two 4 foot shop lights.. and them plant and aquariem blubs in there.... i going the lights on it for 24 hours a day stright for about almost a week and a half now.... im trying to sex 'em out before i put them... under my 1000 watter.... jsust wondering if yall got any ;;suggestions or ideas???

here are a few pics just post opinions ideas.... what would be the quickest way to find a male a kill it cuz i wanna put them under my ;1000 watt cuz im about to harvest that shit.....

Sorry to pop you bubble again dude but you are not even close to harvesting these plants. You have at least another 2 to 4 weeks of vegging time before you switch to the 12 hours of light-12 hours of dark pattern that is required for the flowering stage.

You have to wait for at least a week or two after you start the 12/12 before you will be able to identify the sex of these babies. You must have a lot of patience here.

The object is to grow buds/flowers. That is what you smoke to get high. Those leaves you see that you think you are going to harvest will not get the job done.

Go back and read the "Basic Growing" and "FAQ" sections and you will find all of what I am trying to tell you in there. Those sections clearly list what the timeline for growing is. It takes at least 8-10 weeks under the best of conditions and your current light setup is not nearly enough to be considered "best conditions".

As has been explained many times in the "Basic Growing" and "FAQ" sections it is not until you put the plants under the 12/12 time pattern (prefferably under the HPS lighting) that you will be able to have any idea regarding the sex. The sex does not reveal itself during the 24/0 or 18/6 vegging cycle at all. It will take about 7 to 14 days AFTER you start the 12/12 HPS flowering cycle that the sex will reveal itself, not before.

If you indeed have read the info on these boards until you feel that you can say "I know what I'm doing" you should already know this stuff. Instead you keep making comments that indicate that you have not read (or at the very least not understood) what is tought on these boards.

I'm no expert but I do my very best to at least pay attention to info given here.

oh i kno i miust of be;en stoned but as for the setup in the closet i got plant and aquarium blubs in.... i seen these agrosun 4 foot blubs and reflector light fixtures.... now... the fixtures i have in there ilined with tinfoil... should i change fi;x;ture and buy the reflorter ones... and the agro sun blubs... to make the closet plants grow faster or should i... get like a 400 watt system with a MH bulb and when they get big enuff put in the area... under my 1000 watt HPS bulb.. make any sense to yall??


am i good with the lioghts i got now or do u think if i upgradded i could grow faster??? dont mock just suggestion ideas please

Very good questions this time. My guess is that you can vegg with the flouro setup you have. Your plants will probably grow faster under the 400MH light because of the higher lumen output and more watts with that setup. But, I am growing (veg) with a flouro and seem to be doing OK with it.

Once you have decided your plants have seen enough "vegg time" (my guess is about 5 to 7 weeks) you will put them under the 1000HPS lighting for the flower cycle (12on/12off) After maybe 4 to 14 days you will start to see the parts of the plant that will tell you what the "sex" is for each particular plant. Do a search on this board for sex and you will find many examples with pictures that will help you indentify the sex.

As far as the tin foil in your fixtures, most flouro fixtures already are painted white on the inside as a reflector. The gains you might see by switching to a very shiny reflector as opposed to the white you have now will be very small and probably not worth the effort/expense to change at this point.

The two "reflector" materials of choice are the "polished or chrome" or just plain old "flat white" which you can paint on yourself. The tin foil approach is sort of a third rate lesser choice. If your setup already had the white in there for reflection then get rid of the tin foil you put in and stick with the white.

Sorry for being somewhat hard on you in previous posts. Hope you will continue searching and learning on this subject as it is great fun. Try to be patient, you cannot grow absolutely perfectly on the first try but you will get results. Good luck and keep posting pics about once a week as things progress.
