Tomorrow night (Aug. 13) the Travel Channel is sending 5 people to Amsterdam and they are going to check out the coffee shops. They get 50 dollars a day. They were getting e-mails from people back in the states saying stuff like "I can't believe you guys, this is dissapointing." What a bunch of cry babies.Anyway check it out it should be cool if you've never seen Amsterdam.

while i was living there, the city of Amsterdam itself got old very quickly,VERY DIRTY,its the rest of the country that people should see.a cousin of mine lives in the northern city of Stadskanaal right on a river.one of the most beautiful places i have ever seen.

I always though about moving to Amsterdam. Or take an extended vacation there for like 6 months, is it not worth that? Should I take a regular vacation of a week or two instead?

I went to Dam for the first time in May for 5 days on a 30 day trip through Europe. There are a fuck load of coffeeshops, so i used the coffeeshop guide in HEADS magazine's travel issue to help me out. I LOVED AMSTERDAM. The ppl are very bohemian tho, so if you don't dig that shit, you might not be down. I loved it though and i thought it was a very beautiful city. And it wasn't that dirty.
There is no way to describe what it feels like to walk up to the counter, grab a weed menu and talk strains with the counter-dude, and then buy weed from him, sit down, roll a dube, grab a coffee and chill. Unbeleivable and recommend HIGHLY. It's a must do in your life, but a lot more fun in you go while you're young-ish, ya know.

$50 a day to me: $30 weed, $20 dinner. That's $210 a week vs. $140. Where do I sign up?

dont get me wrong,i loved living in Amsterdam but it got old after 6 months.

people grow marijuana in their yards all over the country, some dont even smoke it but think the plants are pretty and smell nice.

Are you allowed to smoke in your home or only in the coffee shops? What about paraphernalia can you walk into a coffee shop with a bong or what?
