hey, im wanting to look into Buddism
i was just wondering if there are any Buddists on the boards?
If so do you know any good, true sites that can tell me about the religion? Or a book i can read that will inform me of the beliefs etc etc involved in Buddism.

I'm sure you mean Budhism. But buddism does sound like a religion I'd subscribe to as well :D

I just bought an excellent book wich fully explains everything.

"The Buddha and his Teachings" (edited) by Samuel Bercholz and Chodzin Kohn. got it from Chapters.

Okay the next book is AWESOME. It'll explain a lot. I've got a BA in eastern religions, but my friend I went to grad school with had this book and i swiped it from her. She's a PhD in Buddhist Ethics now. So she knows her shit.
Anyway, awesome book, Buddha for Beginners. It's written like a graphic novel / comic book. So easy to read and understand.
