Yes, Britain lays claim to some of the greatest bands of all time (Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Beatles...) and some of the modern stuff is pretty good too. Check out Chumbawumba (http://www.chumba.com/downloadsintro1.html) for instance.

I usually listen to metal but there is this punk band that i think is british that are pretty cool. The band is Bad Religion, i dont know if there british or not but they sound like it. lol

i disagree, they all suck. coldplay, editors, kasabian and bloc party (maybe) are the only decent british bands around at the moment that spring to my mind.

Okay, so I like nearly every kind of music there is going, but I have to admit that I'm pulled in more by British bands, I love Oasis, Blur, The Zutons, the who, the killers, kasabian, kaiser chiefs, stone roses, the futureheads and coldplay!
