i see all of these gaming threads, well... what are you guys gonna get? Xbox 360 or the pS3? Xbox 360 will be less expensive, and i think will have better games... but the ps3 will have better graphics ( isn't that important blah )

A system is only as good as it programers. Microsoft has stolen most of the really good programers, so I believe the new XBox would be better and that would be my choice.

they put alot of effort on graphics but not scenarios... anyway maybe im just stoned

Hey man I love video games and it's about time someone starts a real video game topic other than me.

Anyway, I'm not even sure that the graphics will be better for the PS3. Yes their claims about the Cell processor and stuff make it seem like they will but they have yet to release any real-time game footage. Sony always claims that their capable of this and that but they never even use all of what they put into their systems. The PSP has so much more power than what the games they create for it use. The 360 on the other hand was running at about 1/3 the power of what it's capable of when the game footage they've release was recorded. Most of the footage for the 360 being shown right now is only running on Alpha Kits (which is about 1/3). Right now they have most of the 360 games running at 80% and the ones that aren't are at least at Beta. So when they release newer footage it will be running at about 80% which means the graphics will be alot better than the games they are showing right now.

u definitly are just stoned. anyway, i am gunna get both so it doesnt matter, but i would def. get XBox 360 b4 PS3 because of the online and gamechoice like Elder Scrolls & Halo bitch! But, the PS3 seems to have the edge on technology. We will just have to see for ourselves if that change noticible or not. I say they are boht gunna be fucking sweet to have so either is fuine depending on preference, BUT, i think this time, the PS3 is the underdog, not XBox 360.

ps3 for me. when comparing the two platforms one must look solely at the games that are coming out for it, rather than what the system is capable of, because there is a lot of money going into the two. sony has always had better game titles due to it's reputation of greatness - reputation goes a longer way with me.

Man Sony has always had some kick ass games but there hasn't been a better launch than the 360's in gaming history IMO. Their launch is what's going to sell the 360. It's just amazing and it's been the talk of a lot of major game dicussions.

Also with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion coming out for the 360 that's going to sell a lot for pc gamers because they might not want to spend hundreds of dollars on updating their pc, but they'll still want to play the Elder Scrolls series. Bethesda already stated that you have to have a top of the line pc to be able to play it, or a 360. The 360 being the much more cost effecient route.

Bethesda hasn't confirmed it coming to the PS3. That's who makes the game. Sony has been saying for a while now that it will be coming to the PS3, but I don't trust it until I see on The Elder Scrolls website. Right now they only have PC and Xbox 360. They said that later they might look into putting it on the Rev. and the PS3 but for now they are only developing it for the 360 and PC.

That's not really from the game. It's just a movie. Those aren't even the real graphics. They could release that same video and say it's for the PS2. It's just a movie, it's not actualy gameplay.

Ahh dude no sense in putting one down now. I pre-ordered mine in the very beginning of summer and there were only 3 left on the first shipment. By now they are probably down to the fourth shipment. That means you probably wouldn't get one until maybe January. They are supposed to be released in November. You'd have a better chance of going somewhere like Best Buy or Wal-Mart and trying to pick one up on release day because they don't take pre-orders. Most of the big gamers will head to EB and Gamestop anyway so you might be able to get one at Best Buy or Wal-Mart if you get there early enough. Good Luck man, hope you get one.
