has any one ever tried to make a pipe out of clay, like the stuff u get at craft stores that u shape and then put it in the oven and bake until it gets all hard and shit?????????/

not sure of all the steps but there's more to it then just that...and i don't think you just use regular craft store clay, you'd use the same stuff they make cups and shit with.....but if you go smoking out of clay it could be bad....i'd suggest atleast looking up the steps to it first, atleast if you are ever concerned about your health

i made a clay pipe. basically all i did was form it by rolling it into a cylindar then cut like 1" and put it on the top. baked it in my oven for a good few hours at 275 degrees F like the directions says. took my drill and made some holes in the right places. also made a shot hole in it. I didn't really taste anything harmful but then again you probably cant anyhow. only smoked out of it once so i think im fine if there way anything bad in it.the clay i used i got from wal-mart and it stays soft until cooked.

My opinion is to just smoke out of an apple, carrot, j, blunt, red knife, or a firends pipe, bong, or hookah until u have the money, plans, and imagination (i'm overloaded on that) to make a sick bong, vaporizer, pipe, gravity, double chamber, or one of the other million ways to get that thc out :D

i drink beer and smoke cigs too, but i'm still concerned about my health....beer and cigs can't even compare to some of the shit that can happen if you start smoking outta the wrong materials....

yea. ive been making pipes and bongs the whole time that i have been in out pasient, so far i have made about 50 of those one hitters. 2 bongs 3 steam rollers. and a hooka(sp?) that works for 2 ppls, ive just been wanting to make a uniqe(sp?) hand pipe

well if it's time you got on your hands, get you a horn/antler from some animal and start carving, who knows you might even find a new long term hobby....

thats great rlmfao, i could see myself doing that 2. I have some extremely dense wood at my house I use every once and a while to make smaller pipes.

NO CLAY DOES NOT WORK......when i was like 12 i made a bowl (it was really cool looking too)....fired it up in my oven.....did everything i was suposed to......it worked (just like anything with 2 holes).....but it tasted like i was smoking clay....and crackled all weird....and got hot....i wouldnt waste any time trying it.......if youre desperate.....use an apple

yea... ill do that this hunting season... yay... (it starts so fucking soon for native americans like me) im gonna do it with an elk antler

what are indian peace pipes made of? i figured it was clay because i thought thats what they used all the time, but i could be wrong

there animal bones and antlers and horns... some times no bones just wood and antlers or hornes.... im not all sure of how it is done... becua i have only seen 1 oh them, and it was for sell like 10 bucks. damn i wish i was 18(hey. it may not have been for triditional use... but it would have been used for my triditon[of smoking pot]

Actually, a friend of mine made a kickass clay bong in her high school pottery class... threw it on a potting wheel, kiln fired it, glazed it in a trippy swirl, and fired it again-- all without the teacher saying a thing.

By the way, the teacher is a really cool guy.
