Freakish ... but am curious why this Snopes also has an altered version of the photo on their server too; both appear to have been edited.

Exact same photo - so which is real? - or are both doctored? Still, the guy could still look somewhat like that in the pictures - after seeing those, most everyone here should take comfort in their personal appearance; sad the problems some folks have grow up with.
