I know this isn't about weed but i have a few questions about ipods and i figured somebody on here had to know something about them. Can you put songs from cds on to your ipod and if you download songs from a program that illegal like imesh can you put those songs on there. I was thinking about buying and ipod but if you can't do that shit i'm probally not going to get it.

Hey, that's what I have to! :)

Mine's like 5gb, it can hold well over 1000 songs. I find Ipods are too expensive for what they are made out of. They're ugly, white plastic, overpriced peices. The Dell one is a metal casing, and is real nice looking. Not so plain you know. But whatever, it's just to hold music.

Yes, you sure can. Just put your cd into the computer, & iTunes should open up. There should be a button in the top right corner that says "import". Click it, & your computer will proceed to grab the songs from the cd. You may want to create a new playlist for that album (that's what I do, makes life much easier).

Then once the new songs are on your computer, hook your iPod up & it should automatically suck up any new stuff. When you get to the point where all your stuff doesn't fit on the iPod, you can open the iPod menu (in iTunes), which has options like only putting playlists you select on your iPod. But if yours is really new & you haven't imported anything yet, you may not need to worry about that for awhile.

I love my iPod!!! :) I'm a Mac-girl.

I migrated all of my CDs over to my iPod recently.
Also converting the songs to mp3s seems to yield the best quality, so go thru the options and make sure it's set to that and not the AAC format or whatever the default is.

And yes, any illegally downloaded songs will do just fine on your iPod. I had a few from several years ago that I got off Limewire, & they work just fine. The format is still mp3, which is the important part. Though now I pay for all my music... all I want for Christmas is iTunes cards, lol!

Dont get a fucking ipod, get a sony NW-HD3 or NW-HD5, 20 gig 30 hour battery life. What more do you want? I got the NW-HD1 (same as HD3) and its fucking great. Only complaint is the screens easy to scratch.

ipods are alright besides the price, but many companies have made other mp3 players that are similar to the ipod and have perfected them alittle more. the ipod was like the original mp3 player that had a hard drive, so it was good a few years ago. now there are better mp3 players. SO FUCK THE IPOD!
