Hello café members
I finally broke down and joined. I know Iâ??m a tight ass. Mainly Iâ??m just looking for a place to get away from the kidoâ??s. Nothing wrong with them (ive been there to) but when my child goes to sleep Iâ??d rather not have to take any lip off someone elseâ??s kids. Just wanted to officially say hello. Take care~

Welcome!
I know what you mean about the kiddies. I don't think I could or would want to get high with anyone under 18. I do however think that this forum can be a great outlet for kids who may not have anyone they can talk to. For instance there is a young girl who wants to continue getting high while she is pregnant. As an older adult plus someone who has worked with special needs kids I'm really hoping she takes my advice and takes a break.
I'm originally from so cal but live in PA. We might be moving to Tulsa in the near future!

Some of them are smarter and wiser than their years but some of the mouthyness gets on my head sometimes. I think smoking pot while pregnant is not the best decision, there will be plenty of good times ahead, just concentrate on building a healthy baby for now. You say you might be moving to Tulsa soon. The proâ??s Tulsa is friendly, super easy to drive around in. Conâ??s weed around here sucksâ?¦that Mexican stuff (but itâ??s cheep.) Could be that I donâ??t know the right people. Another down side to living here for me itâ??s hard to find a good reliable dealer or any at all.

Welcome to the club, likemclever.
We have a good core group here of "mature" tokers of various ages. This is the first forum I check each time I visit the site. Feel free to fire up a thread about anything of interest.
So what's it like in Okla ??? When I think of Oklahoma, I think of one of my favorite old movies "The Last Picture Show".

Welcome, like em!!!! I can relate....after dealing with my kids all day, I'd LOVE some adult conversation!!! Although, I have to admit that many times, I am amused at the conversations of those whipper snappers! LOL Seriously, if kids think anal sex gets you pregnant, need advice on french kissing, and the number of "close call" pregnancies found on the board, smoking weed is the LEAST of the problems these young ones face! Regardless, welcome, and come eat at the big peoples table!!!!

Donnieâ?¦Irieâ?¦MJMâ?¦you guys are great. I was starting to notice that most of my favorite people were members and I kinda figured that I had already squeezed 20 bucks worth of entertainment out of the site.
I do intend to start new threads in here. Itâ??s kind of a haven for those who are stressed the fuck out.
I started a new thread down in basic growing (the cellar) feel free to check it out. I never go down there..
Look foreword to posting with ya.

Okla, is hot as hell right now and we need rain. I like the life here people are very friendly and itâ??s not uncommon to have conversations with complete strangers. It can be dangerous just like any place else but for the most part itâ??s not to bad.
Tulsa (I live in the surrounding area) is a lot like any other city with its high rises and bull shit traffic; as a matter of fact just last week we got indoor plumbing.
I love the country side of middle America. The plains are beautiful. Iâ??m originally from Kansas and when the setting sun hits the wheat fields when their golden theirs nothing more beautiful.
Peace~

Friendly people, that's good to know, since it looks like we are moving to Tulsa (Jenks?) I moved to Bucks County 10 years ago and found the people to be, well, not the friendliest, unless you're PA Dutch and your last name is Moyer (inside joke) but I've grown to like it. I like lakes and rolling green hills-Tulsa-is it mostly green or dry and dusty (topography--not hobbies

I live in NE PA....the accent down there where you are is even different than it is up here. The people are friendly, we have no PA Dutch, but the mix is kind of strange. We have local yocal farmers, and a HUGE Baptist community. On the other hand, we have a lot of artists, hippies, and an oddly large amount of private pilots with their own planes....enough that they have some sort of "association" or something or other. It's beautiful. I don't think I could ever live anywhere else.
The down side is that we are a big tourist area in the summer. The worst part of that is a lot of the city people decide to stay and live here. I won't go off on my usual "how much city people irritate me" vent. :D

I'm a realtor and it does seem that many people are moving north.
Your town sounds charming, and I really like it here now too, it just took a looong time!
Now I have a question for you more mature viewers. I recently had lunch with a collegue who let it slip that there is a large number of employees who reguraly get together and smoke. I guess it shouldn't surprise me but some of the people just seemed so...square. Now that I'm privy to this new info, how can I bring this up in a conversation without being a gossip?

If you definitely know they smoke than you could try using some type of stoner lingo around them to see if they laugh.
The idea here is to let them know, that you know.
That way they might ask you if you smoke.

Easy--bring something up about an "article" you read on the legalization of MJ, decriminalization, etc. Say "what's your opinion on that...." or something to that effect.
I was a realtor in Eastern Tennessee....NOT a pleasant occupation for a "damn yankee" down there!!!! My best bets were relo people, because as soon as I would go for a listing presentation for a "local" and speak...oh my...I was DONE! "You aren't from around here, are ya?" That was it. Glad to get back to Ohio....but MISS western PA terribly!!!!
I'd LOVE to find a "friendly little group" I could smoke with...but I just don't see that happening here. Not into real estate here....$5000 for classes, and in this little town of 26,000 there are 350+ realtors....one with a monopoly on the market, and I just don't have the time.
Good luck to you!!!!

Hi there likemclever... I've enjoyed your posts in the other forums; it's nice to see you in here.
Funny this talk about migration to the north... I'm in Raleigh, NC (well duh, lol), & this area is seeing a *huge* influx of Yankees. Not that I say that in a bad way, since I grew up in Maine. I think they're attracted to the nicer weather, MUCH cheaper cost of living, & general beauty of the area. I absolutely love it here! I don't think I ever want to move. Unless a suddenly had the opportunity to have a huge penthouse in Manhattan or an adorable bungalow on some tropical island... then maaaybe. ;)
