This is my first grow i got 4 plants growing and they are about 9 10 days old, one is kinda lagging behind at 4 days. i was wondering when i could be able to get them under my 400watt HPS light. its a multi-purpose blub which gives off both red and blue spectrum. so far they have had jus normal sunlight. Soz but not able to put pics on cuz its dark n they turned out rather shiite but ill take som pics in the morn!

Oh shit! I'm lame  Thanks!

Please, excuse my stupidity. :D

I would put them under than HPS really soon. Sunlight is the best way to go but only if the whole plants life will be done under it. Giving your plant the really good stuff(the sun), then moving them under artificial light(Hps), will send it into slight shock. They won't like it at first, but they'll adjust. Just don't let your plants get too much of a good thing. Good luck.

Oh okay cheers for the info dude they're not too old but they are well under way in developing their first 3 bladed leaves i'm jus afraid of killing em if i put them under the light but with proper ventilation they should do just fine...cheers!

I'll put som pics on to let ya see how they are..to me they look rather healthy atm! :D

As long as you keep that 400Watter a safe distance from the plants, they won't burn up. By the sounds of it they sound quite young still. I would keep that light about 3ft from the top of those plants and a small fan blowing on them, so you don't burn them up., and to stengthen the stem for the weight to come :D Good luck! Peace:cool:

Ive got em under me HPS and ive definatly notice that one has gone into slight shock (leaves drooping) its only the newest set of true leaves that is showing this and one one out the 4 are showing this symptom atm :S heres a pic of it..hope its not serious!

No, your plant looks fine. It is normal for a plant to go into slight shock until it gets use to the new light. Give it a week or so, things will pick up again soon. Peace

They have just completed their first 16 hours of light under the HPS and their are doing very well...the plant which had the drooping leaves has recovered very quick and is carrying on with the next set of true leaves... heres a few pics i took a few mins before the light turned off. :)
