I know that when I started growing I read for about a month...everything I could get my hands on.
I didn;t want to screw it up and ruin my crop after alot of hard work.

I mean. the basics, the pure basics of growing can be understood in a good hour of reading. Blinko is all over the place. He is filling his brain with info that isn't needed now. He needs to take one step at a time. But, that's in his hands now.
