canabis pipe for my new salvia?

hi everybody! I smoke pipe+tobacco a good amount. And if you notice, after a few months your pipe has its own 'flavor'. My pipe tastes different from other people pipes etc.

now i notice my weed pipe is the same since i have had it for a couple years (light use) and have never really cleaned out the resin. It gives it a great smokey taste. anyway- i was wondering:

when i receive my shipment of salvia, should i just stick it in my weed pipe? I am really enjoying how my weed pipe is right now, and i don't want the salvia to influence the flaavor or potency. Plus this is the first time i will trip so will the weed residue influence it much?

i know you are supposed to use a water bong, but i think i can handle the pipe. So any feedback on what i should smoke it out of would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

bong, because you need to heat the salvia up HELLA hot (hold the flame into it) and it's harsh as fuck

ive got a torch lighter, plus the videos (and a few articles) i saw made it seem like it would still work in a pipe- or with a normal lighter.

The weed residue itself probably won't do all that much potency-wise... with salvia, the goal is to get alot into you, and quickly... but by the time the weed kicked in you'd probably be nearing the end of the salvia experience. As for flavor though, I've definitely noticed my bong tastes different for a while after I smoke salvia out of it (i've learned to just use a different slide for that stuff now)... so if you're really liking your herbal flavors, you might want to consider getting a cheap ass pipe for the salvia. As for the last part, I've smoked salvia extracts out of pipes many times to great effect, but never really had a great experience with the dried leaves that way.


Then again, this is just one man's opinion.

i think it will be fine w/e u choose and i just use a regular bic to light up my salvia.

yea, i was also thinking about going ot lowes and slapping together a bong for the experience :) quick bong question, the tube that goes from the bowl into the bong, does the tube go below the water line? Then i suck out of a seperate tube that is ABOVE the water line?

i saw a diagram of the construction and i noticed that. Didn't know if it was an error, or if it is supposed to be like that.

after i try the leaves and i don't get the desired affect, should i add the extract to the bowl WITH the leaves or pack a new one with just the extract? Also, should i crush the leaves into hash or should i smoke em like a bud?

yep the tube from the bowl goes under the water

well what i would do is mix them together so u can get a nice high of each bowl instead of really good one then gay one. yea it does go under water.

Salvia is crazy :D, I got really messed up on that (only lasted like 10 min) and well I thought it tasted like shit compared to weed and the smoke smells like cat piss ...hate to say it but it most likely will change the taste of your pipe, and I wouldent recomend doing to much raw, but have fun!!! :D
