Plants look good. brown is not normal but the water in your res looks brown is that the color of your nutes ? It maybe your answer but the plant looks healthy.

that's what I was saying in the other thread...when I used AN 3-part + superthrive,
my roots were kinda like what i see in your pix...when I switched to Liquid Karma, they lightened up a little...so it could be the color of your organic additives...imho

those roots on the right don't look good at all. Sometimes roots wil turn a tint of the color of the nuts you are using.. but those roots look BAD.. Feel them.. do they fall apart in your hand.. or feel slimy? if so they are dead...
here is the bigger problem... if dead root matter gets into your resivoir it will start consuming o2... and the problem of dying roots will grow FAST.. very fast.. it is vital that your water is filled with accessible o2.....
you should add Hydrogen Peroxide and airstones ASAP... you should also make sure NO light is hitting the water... of the res. clean out your water with a fish net extracting all dead plant matter. ... try not to expose your roots to light,,,
I hope I am wrong... your plants are to young to be showing these signs... if I am right, it will be a long race to the finish line...
please keep us posted and
GOOD Luck.. : )
ps - you should get Zandor to look at this asap....

They don't look very healthy, but how do the plant's look?
Do they smell or like GK said are they slimy?
When was the last time you changed your nutrients and cleaned the water tank?
Like GK said add H²O² Hydrogen peroxide about 5ml to the gallon.

Are you still using SuperThrive in your nutrients?

useing Gh micro bloom calmag plus and diamond nector...Here is the amounts
3 mils per gallon micro/1 mil per gallon gro/3 mil per gallon bloom/20 muil per gallon diamond nector/1 tsp per gallon calmag plus.....pH is between 5.2 and 5.8 and added no pH down or up seems to be holding good. just fluctuating a couple points in a day I changed nuts after 10 days now going to change on saturday wich will be 7... not going to raise nute strength tho for one more week,,,then going to go with 3 micro/ no gro/ three bloom/ tsp calmag plus / 20 mil diamond nector...I think adding gro + micro is overkill with nitrogen....

I remember the other night when you were asking about ppm, after you got your truncheon meter...I thought your nutes were too strong...I think I mentioned it in the thread...goodluck, post some more pix.later H2o2 works great in that situation...went thru same thing, not as bad, a few weeks ago...remember to err on the side of lighter nutes, and you will have a safer grow...imho

Still third week added plain RO water to dilute nute strength...Per advise from people here..I am going to be getting H2o2 end of this week ...How much should I add and is it safe for the plants....I heard that it kills all the bad and good microbes..Any suggestion please....still look healthy except couple of fanleaves on one of the plants had to cut off nute burn....live and learn....Temp got real hot in room yest...even know I have a 5,000 btu air cond.. running full time...Lights go off at 12 noon and resume at 6.00 pm...starting today to try and keep room under 80deg. At night temp goes down to 70 deg with 1000 watt hps light on...I will not be adding Gro the next nute change only micro and bloom calmagplus and diamond nector,,,,With H2O2??????and another bubble wand since roots are getting so long...I felt roots and are not slimy or crumbly.... LOC and Latewood/ any more sugg????? Zandor the great???? no pics of roots yet tommorow will be posting

I use liquid karma in my grows and the roots always have an off white color to them. I have also had root disease. The roots get really brown and stop growing showing none of the fuzziness your roots show. After looking at the picture the lighting may be somewhat different on the roots in the back of the tub.
As far as nutrients go you didn't mention what the ppm was. The stage your plants are in I usually try to keep the ppm to about 300-400. You can always go up, but it may be too late to go down when there is too much. Why cut off their nitrogen when that is what they want in veg stage?
Also, can you give me some info on that white pvc manifold with sprayers. I like that setup.

even in a res w/sprayers, you need bubble stones unless you are constantly recirculating....
OK, daddy...H2o2 cannot be used with organics...I haven't looked up diamond and calmag + so I don't know if they are chem or org, but I used to put 45-90ml tbsp to 10 gallons...do the math and I haven't ever really read where anybody claimed to damage their schtuff using it, but I'm sure there is a Tolerance level...there is a growgfaq somewhere...
Real glad your roots are OK and I think the light had a little effect on the odd coloration we saw...later

What is the purpose of H202 in hydroponic growing ? Clean the roots ? That's right?

I used 1/2 in. sched 40 pvc with 5 tees one tee for the piece from fountain pump to line. and four for the drip heads Cut pieces of 1/2 pcv to connect the tees...all pvc and fountain pump is from LOWES...1/4 in black tubing and drip heads and micro sprayers from Walmart...cut pieces of 1/4 in tubing about 1 inch to connect the micro sprayers to the drip heads...also used sched 40 threaded adapters to connect the tees to the drip heads
1/2 in tees=40cents
5 ft 1/2 sched 40= 1.49
drip heads=4x 6.99
1/4 tubing=4.00
two threaded sched 40 1/2in end caps=20 cents each
370 gallons per hour fountain pump=49.99
sterelite 30 gallon container with lid= 8.99 from lowes
pretty cheap compared to some aero systems out there!!!

I have to agree with Garden Knowm add an air pump with stones to that resevoir if you don't already have that. The more dissolved oxygen you can get in the resevoir the better the plant roots will take up nutrients. The oxygen is just as important to the root zone and plant health as ph and ppm.
Thanks for the info on your set up.
