Dusting?

I was talking to my dad and he was telling me about this cop who found his son dead in his room after he had dusted.
The conversation went somewhat like this:

"Hey, Kaela, do you know what "dusting" is."
"yeah, dad, I know what dusting is. I'm pretty sure everyone knows what dusting is.."
"oh, well... this police officer's son was dusting one day and he ended up dead in his room."
"that sucks.. wait. .. Dusting? You mean like, he killed himself cleaning? What???"
"no, have you heard of these things called dusters? well the kid was huffing them or something and he killed himself trying to get high."
"what? Dad, I've never heard of dusting in my life. I've heard of huffing and stuff.. but... what?"
"yeah, i was thinking about your friends. Do any of your friends do that? I'm just concerned."
"dad, why are you concerned about my friends. you know my friends. If they did that they'd probably become normal. What are you talking about anyways. Are you worried about me doing that?"
"no, I'm not worried i'm just concerned (oh like those aren't the same thing) You need to tell someone if your friends are dusting."
"ok, dad, I'll tell someone."

The conversation ended there. I still have no clue what he was talking about. Does anyone know what dusting is.. and if so can you fill me in cause I'm so confused right now.

Also, by reading this do you think my dad was trying to ask me if I was into huffing? I would never even think about doing that. That's up there with crack and herion.

Oh I think I just found out where my dad heard about this. I think he received in a chain letter. He's a sucker for those chain letters. Some of the things this cop says are just retarded and I want to punch him in the face. He's making it sound like it's the school system's fault or the brand's fault or something when really it's his fault for buying the damn stuff and not being aware of what's in it. Ignorant kids result from ignorant parents. The idiot needs to open a book or something.
