Greenday - Brain Stew (again not that old but a classic still)
How old are you? 9? The guy was asking for old, good music and you bring greenday into the question, now that just lowers the tone. I would live my entire life in squallor if it enabled me to meet Billie Joe Armstrong one day and punch him in that annoying, wannabe-political, whiney, over-americanised and sacrimonious mouth.
If you like 20 minute electric violin solo's i suggest you check out The Mahavishnu Orchestra.

hahahaha poop
The Doors for sure; Strange Days, for example. Did anyone mention The Moody Blues? Threshold of a Dream, Our Children's Children, Days of Future Past, etc.
Hendrix for sure.
It was a time of oddball stuff like Lothar and the Hand People, Hook, things nobody's heard of, or would want to, these days.

When I am stoned I love to listen to the following kind of stuff -
The Beach Boys - Sloop John B, classic 'This is the worst trip... Iâ??ve ever been on' LOVE IT!!!!!
Bob Dylan - Ahhh so many to choose from!!!
The Charlatans - not exactly oldie stuff but great to listen to!
Credence Clearwater - Susie Q - Excellent choice!
George Harrison - download the whole of 'All things must pass' and listen to it stoned, it is brilliant!
THE ROLLING STONES - Street Fighting Man, Gimme Shelter, Honky Tonk Women, Beast of Burden, Sympathy For The Devil.....
And finally, a stoners cliché but none the less fantastic, I put it to you that dulcet tones of Pink Floyd should be a contender!
I am new to this site so 'hello' to everybody! :)

Ha ha! Oh man, that's hilarious Penguin! For me, you know.
I had a bad trip on shrooms once too. I kept hearing a telephone ringing all around me. Like it was echoing all around my head, getting louder with each ring. Drove me insane! I broke my cellphone that night because it kept vibrating as I was yelling at this imaginary telephone ringing in the distance. Oh man, good times.

Forgot my absolute favorite --
Spirit - Future Games (A Magical Kahauna Dream) - 1977
This album has a magical flow to it -- get it on CD so you don't have to flip the album (like anyone here has albums)
Can't even believe someone else heard of White Witch and their stoner anthem "It's So Nice To Be Stoned"
Hawkwind is also very trippy -- whichever album has "sonic attack" on
Also -- don't rip me too bad
Elton John - Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy

A great Jefferson Airplane CD is called Bless It's Pointed Little Head it was recorded live back in the late "60's and is a lot stonier than their studio stuff.
Also check out Hot Tuna, they're the original guitarist and bassist from Jefferson Airplane. Really great bluesy rock.
