Ha, thanks. That's just where I was fingering her. Er, I mean fingering the soil to check for wetness. The combination of the recent heat wave, close CFL's, and the fan have me worrying over them.

My water plan is to check the soil daily to see if it clumps (still wet); when it's crumbly and dry even below the immediate surface, I water until the entire soil is wet and some seeps out of the base. That's been my experience for all our other house plants...

BTW, Harddon, do you ever mist? I live in humid area and even our indoor relative humidity is generally pretty high. I understand that during the last weeks of flowering humidity should be kept dry to promote resin production. But what about veg and the first weeks of flowering?

Absolutely I mist.

They love it.

As long as you have good air movement it wont stress her...good air movement is a must.

Soon you will learn the weight of the pot dry and guess with that.

Just keep that fan blowing across the tops and she'll be fine.

You can get the pot when you KNOW it's dry and weigh it.

Water weighs 8 pounds to a gallon....so you can determine how much water is in there at anytime you want.

Figured I'd just throw up a pic each week of Harddona.

Bag seed; 100w CFL's for veg; 18 hr. light; small fan; good potting soil, with no added nutes.

Because I talk to her, she's already the strongest looking of 12 sisters.
Day 11...her stalk is fat and really short; and the leaves just keep unrolling...

I'm sure hoping her name creates some good karma for her...her sisters are all pretty good. They have similar growth, but appear a couple days behind her. Harddona is in the middle of my grow space, so she gets a nice bit of 360 degree light in addition to the one above her.

Ha, the lights are so close I have to quickly move them for the pics; there's enough air circulation from the fan to gently, but constantly move the leaves; and, her water comes from a small spring just outside my back door.

The 400w HPS sitting here in a box is what has me nervous.

BTW, I had sent this candle grown plant into 60 days of flowering and it grew a bud big enough for a joint. I rolled it last night and gave it to a friend on this MB today.

Not saying I feared inhaling myself.

It's a consistent 6.5. I do have to let it sit for hours to warm up; I've assumed the cold water would shock them.

all kinds of algaes and mosquito larva and pesticide runoff.... how clean is this water????

Also, its a good idea to let your water warm in the sunlight for a while and get some natural radiation activity going.

Actually, we live in a protected watershed area. The State Parks Dpt. monitors, taps, and labels the potable sources for campers. That's what the guys in green uniforms tell me, anyway. Our spring comes from the same source that clears their tests.

I usually fill three 20 gallon containers at a time and keep them on my deck.

As far as overkill, never regret that...I would like to see daily updates....it is so good to have them to compare how and when and where things changed.

Whore turned out really buzzing good smoke but I am dissappointed in the 2.2 ounces I got from her.

After studying her DAILY birds eye view pics, I realize how I could have doubled that with tying down 4 different buds instead of the ones I did.

Besides, if no one wants to see your updates, they can allways change the channel.

This is going to be a great grow and I wouldnt mind watching every day of it....

Dont kill my bitch with that algae infested mosquito larva infested water either :(

Cunt was never bent...I think its rare you need to bend a sativa...

Whore was pure indica...

I bent and tied the lower growths when I should have tied the upper growths. I thought doing it to the lower ones would keep them alive and make them grow bigger....

But I should have focused the time on the largest and closet to the top ones and tied them down. By the time I did, it was too late the formation had taken place and anything I tied down jsut didn't keep up with the other stuff.

How long are you planning to veg her?

BTW....you got a nice grow there....she is as perfect as she can be :)

Thanks, she seems really happy. Her stalk is as thick as a Crayola crayon, which sure beats the toothpicks I had last time.

I'm buying her top-shelf purified water and Superthrive tomorrow. I promise. Her sisters will drink algae, mosquito larvae, and deer piss, but I swear she'll only drink sissy French water from now on.

I have Mexican bat guano that's 10-2-0...can I just add a tiny bit of potassium when I make the tea? Just FYI, the potting soil does have time-released soluble potash.

NO wonder its 10-2-0. Lazy fuckers prolly said fuck it, it dont need no K. Either that or the supervisor prolly filled his truck with the K and is black marketing of it :) :) :)

Anyhow, no dont add anything to the guano...its completley organic and you cant really over do it.

Anyhow, dont feed it to her yet....let her get acclimated to the new pure fresh water she will be getting. :D

Harddona's vegging with CFL's...the candle grown plant is already cut. She was grown in a windowless room, where her main lighting for the first 60 days was from candles, with an occassional 60w ceiling light and a mini-fridge light that held cold beer.
She flowered in a grow room, though, with her sisters and came up with one small bud that produced a single joint.
I was just screwing around with a late sprouting runt seed.

You're sure welcome, Mono. I loved that little plant. I wish I'd taken pics of her before I killed her. 40 or so days into flowering, I thought a spider had made a web on her little kola, but it was just really sticky with resin and crystals. Maybe I didn't notice that it was happening, but it seemed to occur overnight.

I really appreciate your input on the different samples. Hope you don't mind giving me some more feedback from each of my girls in late-November.

And, Harddon, I can't believe how much I spent on water today. Water...funny how my wife doesn't mind me buying Mexican bat shit, but she gets a little pissy about buying water.

Just a Day 23 update...
Gave her bat guano tea yesterday (10-2-1). Three teaspoons in 2 liters of purified bottled water, brewed overnight and left on a sunny deck for 1/2 day.
Starting to find myself in a bit of a dilemma...I really only have room for 3 or 4 full sized plants, but 11 of her sisters have been doing so well, that my 60 day veg plan might change. I'm considering a 45 day veg and hoping to have 8 females.

With a 400w HPS and nine CFL's for flowering, I think that Hardonna will still have a terrific life if she's in the center of it all.

But is shortening the veg period to allow room for her sisters to live and flower somehow cheating Hardonna out of the best possible life?

She's looking good, still growing really bushy. I think 45 days veg would still be a decent amount for them to veg. You'd have to work out what is more worth it though - do you think you'll get more (& will quality change) if you have 3 / 4 plants for 60 days veg or 8 plants for 45 days veg. :D

Remember you will probably be able to see pre flowers on some of these plants by day 30....

I would take the ones that show you their sex and prioritize them if it comes to altering grow. Cutting the veg time by 15 days will help control height issues but not really breast...i mean breadth issues.

She looks indica all the way so I wouldnt worry about her too much right now.

I havent looked at the others but if they are mostly indica, you should be fine.

Lets look at your room here a second...

The lights....

Some are horizontal, others are vertical.....or so it appears.

Any particular reason why?

Some bulbs you will have no choice...but it appears yours offer you the option. I would be consistent thruout the whole chamber....

NORMALLY, horizontals offer the best broadcast of light.

Check out different positions and see if uniformity casts a more broad light spread.

I notice your lights are directly over the tip top center of the plant. This is not the best way to get light to the undergrowth or secondary bud shoots.

I would move the lights or the plants to off center just enuff to penetrate down the main stem a bit more.

Remember as your plants evolve, so must your grow setup. You need to adapt to the environment, just as much as you try to force the environment to adapt to your efforts.

Always make it a win win :)

I see a lot of light loss coming from the bottom. People underestimate the power of the beam of light.

Remember, light is energy and thus will travel forever until converted to another form of energy......

You bottom does not appear uniform in depth and it appears you are losing some reflective potential. If you need booster chairs and what nots, try and keep them all to one side of the grow room.

If you have to elevate some things, thats cool but keep it uniform...like a hill but not like a city block with different sized buildings all over.

your plants look good and you got a good one going....but you need to feed the beast you are creating. Looks like you could easily use double the lighting you have.

Remember...in plant growth and good sex.........YOU MUST HAVE PENETRATION.

Those fan leaves are robbing the secondairies already.

The monsters need light :) :)

I see lot of light falling thru the bottom that needs to be stopped...and I see no light canopy.

The green pots arent a problem.

The bottom and top is where you are losing reflective properties.

Well, I mylared and dull-side foiled to hold the mylar tight...the ceiling is painted white and the floor is a thick mylar...it seems amazingly brighter. Harddona has a second CFL, which I'll keep a close eye on and continue to adjust.

Two that you can see in the pic are sativa, with one more on a higher shelf...9 to 3 Indica, or mostly Indica-mix...but I'm just a newbie and assume that from leaf width only.

Hardonna has the two CFL's on her and most of the fan. The light on her belly has made an amazing difference...with the bat guano tea and added light you can almost see her growing.

And thanks for the sample. I kicked back on the beach with a hottie, my surfboard, and lit up watching Irene crashing 6-footers. Huge waves followed by extreme peace.

ONe final thought....

TO be 100% in compliance, you can also add small white chipped marble rock to the soil top.

This white rock will help reflection to the underside of the plants.

Just make sure the white rock is marble or granite or any other NON WATER ABSORBING rock.

That will increase the light efficiency yet another degree :)

Hey, Harddon, this has been fun and I can't thank you enough for the great advice. I always try to research first (so my questions don't seem too stupid), but your "live" answers are freaking priceless.

BTW, I've been adding Superthrive since Day 21 watering, I believe.

I'm psyched about watching your SOG. If you find it's a good way to go, then I'm all over it for my next grow. I have the seeds all lined up from some bud a friend hooked me up with; two hits and you look down and wonder what the fuck is in your hand (gracias Mono!).

Someone's sig on this MB says "Pot isn't addictive until you starting growing it", or something like that...how true, at least for me.

But first things first...I still have a couple weeks of vegging and I'm nervous about this HPS for flowering...really nervous...

A tip from me for anyone buying white marble chips: try to get a bag that doesn't seem loaded with white powder. My bag said "the first rain will gently wash it away". I sure the fuck hope that never happens in my grow room. It took two hours to pick out the dark stones and to wash and scrub the remainder. Ah, a labor of love, I guess...

Whats the temps at?

Daytime temps range between 80 and 83 degrees, then drop down to between 72 and 75 after lights out. We live deep in the woods and don't even have air conditioning---I regulate daytime temps just by opening the grow room door. There's a ceiling fan just outside the room that really helps move huge amounts of air.

Is that can on a regular a cfl or just a regular light? From the pic that plant seems to be stretching compared to the others, or is that the sativa, maybe just the angle?
I'll see if I can find some more potent seeds strains. Emery is down, but there are other routes. If I'm lucky they will have that hawaiin seed just sitting around waiting for someone to ask... I'll see what I can do.
Is it strange I'm getting excited about this grow, I check back several times everyday to see how they are doing. God I would love my own grow.
The room reminds me of the "TV" portion of Willy Wanka (the orginal) so sterile, and bright... tis a good thing I suppose.

The bottom right under the reflector is mostly sativa (I guess) that has stretched. I accidentally bought a CFL shop light that you couldn't remover the reflector from, so getting the light close makes it too hot. I was about to cut the reflector, but decided it would be a mini-experiment.
Result: CFL reflectors are bad; they defeat the greatest benefit, which is how cool they run at 1" from the plant. And I bet all the heat kills the life of the bulb.

Indica's just make you feel like your growing something substantial and, uh, meaty. Sativa's like the one at the far left are sure pretty plants. Some of the big one's I've seen people growing outdoors on this MB are amazing looking, like a Japanese Cutleaf Maple. But, to me, there's no more awesome plant than one's like Whore and Cunt.

My Hardonna is no Whore or Cunt, but she's been filling in nicely since the 2nd CFL was added.

Hmmm, I don't often type the word "cunt". I like it.

Just of note, HD: my first wife divorced me for choosing surfing over being with her. On Monday, I left 6 to 10 ft. tropical storm waves to rush back to check on them. I missed them a lot...

Just a Day 31 update...the girls all survived my two-day trip just fine; they grew right up to the CFL's. Hardonna's continues to grow bushier as opposed to vertical. She 12 1/2" now; her mostly sativa sisters are 15".

Still thinking about going to flower at Day 42...

I need you to take Hardonna....

Put a white dot or something....masking tape or something on her pot and take a pic and position her so that you and I are on the same page with the same leaves.

Use your little edit program and use white arrows and point to specific fan leaves and number them.

Number them like:

Row 1 Leaf A
Row 1 Leaf B
Row 1 Leaf C

So we can say tuck 1A, 1C etc.....

We can use the white dot or marking on her pot to make sure we have the same position everytime.

What we want to do is to get her exposed to some light on those secondaries. So we will need to tuck the fan leaves to one side.

I prefer to use the twistie ties with the green plastic coating.

In essence, we can pull down those fan leaves all to one side.

Just start thinking bout it and be patient.

She looks so much like WHORE did at 28 days doesnt she?

Hmmm...maybe a not-so-pretty cousin...but she'd be honored to read that.

I kind of jumped on this now just because it's quiet around the house and had some time before her lights went out at midnight.

And just when I need it most, my camera fried from salt water on my last surf trip. I'm trying my best with an old beater that only works while being shaken and just takes b&w, although a replacement is on it's way via eBay.

In the meantime, this was the best I could do for starters.

What I don't understand is what do I tie the fan leaves to? I get the idea of what the result should be, but can't picture the method.

And, btw, I'm about 11 days from flowering. That's my current plan (7 weeks total veg), but not set in stone.

Jesus Christ what did I get myself into?:eek:

What we want to do is concentrate on the higher secondaries.

Since you are gonna flower soon, we dont have a lot of time.

What we want to do is move the fan leaves....just move them to expose as much of the main stem and growth to the light as possible.

You can "TUCK" the fan leaves by gently placing them on the back side of the stem. Or we can tie them down which is really what we should do.

You will want to loop the twisty tie, gently around the stem of the fan leaves....take the twisty tie and tape it (use good tape) or drill a hole in your pot rim and tie the twisty tie to that spot.

You want to pull the following fan leaves down as far as they will go without choking or cutting them or breaking them off.

They are more sturdy that you might think.

Your black and white picture makes this suck ass :)

Fan leaves 4 and 5 need to go down first.

Tie them down as far as they will go. As they lay down, be sure and tuck any loose fingers behind the secondaries you are exposing to light. Tie the fan leaves so they are on a vertical plane, parallel with the main stem.

So start with 4 and 5 and there are others behind those that need to be tied down too. I cant see their numbers but I know they are there.

So that is the section to start with.

Get them tied down and even if they have to be one on top of the other, that is fine. YOu are tying the STEM not the leaf. The leafs can touch each other with no probs.

AFTER you haved moved them and exposed all those middle secondaries, you MUST get the light CLOSE to the secondaries just as if they were newborns.

So get a foil covered booster chair for her if you have to so she can get the light.

Lets try those and then post the results.,.... in black and white;

ARGH.......

Dont worry you wont fuck her up....

You may want to run some tie or string across the bottom of the container from rim to rim getting it close to the main stem. You might have a tuff time getting them tied and tucked vertically if you have to go to the rim of the container for an anchor spot.

This tie o0r string by her stem will give you something to anchor to.

What a lousy time for camera issues...

Anyway, this tie-down method seemed easier than I thought. I took a metal coat hanger, straightened it, then cut it in half. Then I crissed-crossed the pieces and hooked the ends at the edges of the pot. So the pot has an X across it, just above the dirt.

Then I took pipe cleaners and gently looped them around the fan leaf stems, nearest the bottom of the leaves. I then pulled them down and tied them to the metal X, pretty close to the plant stem, so they are vertical.

I went around the Fan 4/5 level, then tied down the fan leaves that are below those.

Bright green secondary leaves popped out everywhere.

I boosted Hardonna and gave her a third CFL.

It seems to make amazingly perfect sense, HD.

Question: I'm vegging either 9 or 16 more days. Any idea how many adjustments I'll need to make with these ties? And what about the very top fan leaves? Will I be tying them, too?

Yes we will do the top leaves but first we need those secondaries to grow and extend beyond the fan leaves at the top.

Great great job.

How long since she has some guano tea?

She could use a little now that we have exposed some new growth to light. She will push to grow that stuff out now to the light.

Also, keep one light dedicated to her 'back' side, or the are where most of the fan leaves are....we want them still to produce solar power for the plant.

Also, once every couple of days for about 4 hours, let those fan leaves loose so they can fully breath and respirate herself. Then take them down again.

At this time, also begin to spray mist her with purified water thruout her veg.

Twice a day would be ideal.

I like the pipe cleaner idea. Never thought of that one.

Great choice.

I would definately pick the longer veg point. you will yeild more bud :)

Whew...thanks...they had guano tea today. It was their second time. I, uh, have been misting during the mornings---every couple of days with the bottled water. The fan evaporates the mist pretty quickly.

I'll go for the extra week and make it 49 days veg. I feel a lot more confident if I have to bend for vertical space at any point.

The secondaries have grown noticeably in the six hours since tying. Unbelievable...Thanks, HD!

Based on my first crop, growing pot is really easy; growing good pot seems to be an incredible journey of attention to details---and not the least bit easy.

I find it almost unbelievable when I go back and look at Whore and Cunt's updates. I aspire to one day have a big fat Whore of my own :)

Just a quick Day 34 update...Hardonna is 14" tall, growing at a steady 1/2" per day, although the majority of her energy now seems to be going into the secondary leaf growth. 15 days of vegging to go. Next grow, I'm replacing CFL ballasts that have brown cords....

Just a quick Day 35 (5 weeks!) update...

All the girls got about 2 liters of bottled water---with five drops of added Superthrive this morning---along with a good misting of the bottled water alone.

With all the green, the grow room looks kind of dark when the reflective doors are open. One pic is of Hardonna with her three CFL's in place. I tied down two more upper fan leaves today and adjusted the others. Secondary growth seems to be flourishing pretty good.

14 days of veg to go.

Yes they are looking very nice...

Time to take down the next set above it. That will expose the highest secondaries you have. Those will produce the biggest and best buds as well.

So time to get them exposed.

I notice all your other plants are taller but notice how they dont have the secondary branching going on other than stem and leaf top?

Also, your sex has now been determined so you want to check every day for pre-flowers. Your environment is ripe for them so start check every node on the main stems.

Pre-flowers can be hard to see until they grow bigger, but you will know them when you see them.

Be on the look out. :)

Yeah, thanks, HD, I'm doing a major tie-down of the others tomorrow, as well as Hardonna's highest fans.

I feel like I'm back on the maternity ward...I check for sex at least 10 times a day and keep seeing all the stipules from different angles and momentarily getting my hopes up...not one confirmed sex with the naked eye for any of 12 plants.

Of all the pre-flower examples, I think weedfarmer has the best single pic at:

In looking at your other plants do not expect to tie down as you did the little bitch.

Your secondary shoots on those plants have already formed and extend out beyond the fan leaves. What is it you intend to tie down?

You dont wanna tie down the secondaries that have already grown...they just need more powerful light, not more of what you already have. That time has passed :)

Perhaps you should jsut chop all the others down and give hardonna her room :) :) :)

Turn her into a 3 month veg and then flower...LOL :)

Those pics you linked are nice indeed...but I wouldnt call them preflowers at all and the ones you will see will look nothing like that....those are full blown flowers and balls.

Preflowers are much smaller, much harder to see than those.

Preflowers also dont show like that at the tips of stalks,...mostly anyhow.

Look for them RIGHT ON THE MAIN STEMS....

The day after HD wrote this, all 13 plants simultaneously developed very tiny little sex parts on the nodes near their stipules. Pretty amazing how nature does shit like that.

It is day 36 of veg.

I can't tell for sure using my 60x-100x microscope...after two hours of sitting and staring, I decided it was better to just go smoke a bowl.

I borrowed my wife's live CD of Lilith Fair. They are listening to Sarah McLachlan hopefully thinking how awesome it is being female.

An experienced growing could sex them all right now. I bought a basic magnifying glass, but I still can't tell for sure. Maybe in another day or two.

At least 12 days of veg to go.

The drugs are not all that....The only gave me a ton of Vicodin ES, BUT...........I have my own stash of morphine and methodone.....WooHooo!!!

the only thing about those is my tolerence goes up way fast

Just a quick Day 39 update...big stipules and every plant has sex parts, but still no confirmed balls or hairs growing out of them. A steady 1/2" daily growth, now at 17". I had to rearrange the room a bit because the girls in the back were crowding.

Going to flower in either 3 or 10 days...what to do, what to do... :confused:

Well whatever you do, flower hardonna another 10 days.

She will reward you :)

The worst that can happen is all are females .

Odds are, some wont be, so you will have more room.

The longer you veg the more you harvest.

The flower height is the space issue not the side branches. Can your height handle 2.5 - 3X the height they are now? In another 10 days?

Stay firm, be calm and remain in composure.

Patience is one MAJOR key to successful tomato plant growth.

BTW....hardonnas secondaries are looking good :)

What a really nice job you have done on the grow room with those lights.

Day 40:

Ummmm...Harddon, is there a reason not to do this? I just did a very gentle bend with a loose pipe cleaner anchored to the criss-crossed coat hangers above the dirt.

Something kicked in and she grew 1 1/4" in 24hrs. (her most ever by far)...

I can easily set her free, but if it's okay, I'd like to slowly and gently keep her pulled over.

Well, while watching your SOG we're all seeing how game plans can be altered, even with someone that does so much research of even the smallest details...I mean, it's a learning process and a good thing, but it made me a little unsure about bending her over after bending and tucking all the fans.

But boy do those upper secondaries love it. I suppose a good grower can watch how a plant reacts as the best judge of what he/she is doing.

I'll be flowering with a 400w HPS, supplimented by nine CFL's.

But Hardonna has an identical twin. If the worst happens with Hardonna, then I'm going to pretend to myself that the other was her all along. Sort of like when your baby dies in the hospital, you just go down to the nursery and grab someone else's. Right?

Well this grow should be a prime example of how you can choose OTHER methods, other than topping to increase growth.

Those secondaries we tied down...I mean you tied down....will all be nice bud shoots for ya.

Otherwise, you would have had a few buds...but now you will have several.

Any prehairs yet?

If she turns out to be male I gonna be limp hard on indeed :Dharddon instead off toppin the plant can u get one off them small flouros and use it 4 that purpose?will that do the same job as toppin? and toppin, man do u just cut the top few inches regardless offf the groth on the top off the plants, especialy when a few i have have hairs coimin from the top, is that preflower, r a sign of a female? r jus natural growth?
ps the trimmin job i fucked up, well i have been doin everythin besides sleepin with them and they r comin along nicely, i have time on my side as i can veg as long as needed 4 new fans 2 grow but as 4 the rest off the plants, im keepin the siol dry and doin what u suggested and harddon, i can see them holdin there own(good little plants)any way i learnt my leson toppin this time, just wann get this grow done so i can start fresh with what iv learned from every1 here and mistakes i have maid, i enjoy, makin mistakes and learnin from them, 4 instance while higherin the lights one plant got crushed and 2 leaves thorn off, so i gave it a drink nd back under the lights and man, a few weeks since it hasppened now and u would never know, hardy little plants

Just a quick Day 44 update...

Still can't confirm sex. No balls, but still no obvious hairs. She now has her own 4 CFL's. She's drinking two liters of bottled water every other day and seems to love the bat guano tea every third watering. Secondary stems are getting really fat.

Out of 13 plants, the two that are mostly sativa have now shown their sex...and both have the telltale hairs growing out of the pod next to the stipules.

So I have two females and 11 unknowns (including Hardonna).

No celebrating at all...in fact, I'd trade in the 12 siblings for Hardonna to turn out female.

But here's a pic of Schoolgirl and Roachclip. Both 44 days old, bent and tied really hard once from above the top fan leaves and anchored at to the bottom of their main stem. Roachclip, in fact, was the one I bent too hard and thought I'd killed her top growth, but she just kept growing...

Just a quick Day 46 update...

Just about ready to send them to flower. Even if they just double in size, I'll have to be pretty creative with tying them down. I culled the three smallest runts today.

Is Hardonna a female? Jesus freaking Christ I wish I knew...pear shaped, but is the protrusion going to split into hairs? I know any experienced grower would be able to tell, but I just can't tell under 10x, 60x, or 100x...I've compared her to 100's of female/male preflower pics, but it doesn't help. Just have to wait, I guess.

Yes but compared to all those other 'hags' in your grow room, she is by far the best plant you have....prepping for flower. You have those secondaries sticking out like they should ready for prime buddage.

If they do flower cuz she's a whore, you will be happy with those sites you exposed. You did a very nice job :)

If she turns out to be a he, still, you have learned and are now skilled and experienced in coaxing out of a plant, more than what nature wanted to give you.

And that is the true skill..."helping a plant express its true genetic potential."

Either way, you have learned and 'grown' as a grower.

Call her some really dirty names and stuff and shake her a bit and throw some cheap whore perfume on her and put lip stick on her stem base and a frilly white linen thingy around her container for a skirt.

Just a quick update...after 46 days of veg, space became the deciding factor in sending Hardonna into flower.
So today is Day 1 of flowering...

She gets the prime center spot under a 400w HPS, with three supplimental CFL's. There are another five CFL's in the room, which BTW is approx. 5ft. x 5ft., with a sloping ceiling that is 5ft. at it's highest. Because of the sloped ceiling, I left the reflector on, but bent the back to help fill light into the back corner. It seems pretty even. I have my fan blasting right now, as I'm just trying to be super careful getting a feel for the heat.

There are currently 8 plants, of which three are confirmed female...Hardonna is still unknown...

No added nutes today, just bottled water with Superthrive.

I have the 10-2-1 bat guano, 5-1-1 fish emulsion, 1-7-6 cactus juice, a 2-2-2 toxic looking liquid fert bottle, and a Miracle Grow 15-30-15 all purpose variety I'm reading I should toss in the tomato patch...and, of course, my vehicle is gassed and ready to go back to the garden center...

Any help would be much appreciated...

Went from 3 gallon to 5 gallon container (added same Pro Mix, with marble at the bottom for drainage). Roots were pretty bound, but not too crazy...it didn't feel necessary to score the roots. Watered with bottled water and 1 1/2 drops Superthrive to 2 liters water.

Now with the freshly added PRO MIX, there is no need to nute at this time :)
PRO MIX is chock full of goodies for her for the next 2 weeks.
Lookin at her roots, it was indeed time. Some real problems could have come in flower as her roots will still grow for a tad.......looks like we're a tad late on it but she'll be fine now.
Make sure after the transplant she got a good solid watering...so much so that you can probably skip the next one. Tuff to overwater right during transplant....

Cool, got it, thanks HD! One thing that needs improvement next time is to be a little more gentle when tying the fan leaves. Get them pulled down/back, but still go easy on them. You'd said to even untie them and let them breath. No real damage, but I'm sure I could keep them healthier looking. There's an art to doing it just right, I'm sure...eh, practice...

1. I ran out of smoke.

Jsut cuz hardonna was really a HARD ON, dont mean we dont want to see the rest of the grow and flower.

I culled four males today, so it looks like I have four or maybe five females going forward.

The 12/12 combined with a busier work schedule only gives me about 1/2 hr. each day to hang out with them.

I've been taking care of them, but it's been like a funeral home in the grow room.

The males r depressing for sure but i bet the rest of ur bud is going to be some killer shit. Keep us updated i have enjoyed reading this thread since its start and you did an awsome job. Thanks to both you and harddon for this awsome grow. I'm intrested in this experiment you want to try aswell......

it makes me so sad my parents found my plant, now i cant even try lowrider or anything. New hobby is doing bonsai trees its alotta fun when high.

They made me take some rusty ass scisors and chop it right infront of them then rip it up in my hands and flush it down the toilet, probably the worst way anyone could think of to kill such a magical plant.

Tonight kinda had another small talk and they asked "well are you gonna do it again?" (cuz last time we talked about it they asked if i liked it and i said yes) and i told em "well.... uhh i dont know..... umm probably not" basically they told me as long as they are supporting me i cant do anthing illegal at anytime, anywhere.

I have had a horrible time since it happened things kinda keep going wrong around me, i dunno i keep a smile on my face the whole time (i really dont know how i am staying so happy) but no one wants to hear of my troubles so im not gonna rant about it unless you think you or i can get something form it.

Sorry to hijack ur thread a lil bit.
Keep the updates comming its great checking on it.

Well, good luck, DaBuh. Life is a journey, so don't sweat the small setbacks. Some day that rusty-ass scissors story will be kind of funny. My dad used to beat the hell out of me every once in a while (a long time ago)...just last week he had his second hip replacement surgery. I could beat his ass into a pulp, if I so decide. Life's funny like that.
Bastard better not piss me off at Thanksgiving!

Just a quick update of Hardonna's sister Ginger Lynn...this is Day 11 of flower, after 46 days of veg...

Just of note: I had used Schultz rooting hormone when I repotted, btw, according to HD's repotting thread. I sprinkled it all over the root ball, then a bit in the new soil hole. It seemed like a smoother repotting, with less stress. Nothing scientific, but it SEEMED to be a better way to go.

She's getting hairs at her bud sites...
