 Does anyone wonder if the Law is watching this place. Y'know like monitoring who is on here and what they say so that maybe they can get enough info to bust us? Maybe its just me but I've been wondering that.

But there are alot of people on here (from the us) talking about buying and shit.
I dont know, that would suck though!
I wouldn't be too suprised with all the talk of mail order. If you're not supplying then you don't have much to worry about though.
i'm not really worried about it. if ya'll would keep your personal information off of the board and save it for a more discreet viewing then you all should have nothing to worry about either.

itd be difficult to track down every person from this site... i mean its not like anybody has their name and address posted on here and if u do thats just dumb
del...

i'd definitely count on them being here regularly. we've even had some register and post while being open about them being a cop. but i really doubt if anyone here has anything to be concerned about, from what i have seen anyway. it'd just be a major hassle and very expensive to mess with the small grows and half oz's being sent here 'n there. but if talk of other crimes came into it then it may draw closer scrutiny...talk like bombs and firearms we read about here ocassionally. it's silly stuff like that that'll draw attention to an individual then if there happens to be a local leo for that person...well, then there could be a prob.
just reread that post and be certain you want the world to know what you've just written...think before hitting that enter button!

Well, I bet most of our electronic communications, including our posts on this site, go through ECHELON (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ECHELON), a vast international "intelligence-gathering" (i.e. spying-on-citizens) network run by the governments of the US, UK, Canada and Australia. So yes, the government is likely watching us.
Individual police officers probably come here regularly as well. Out of all the cops on the planet, you'd think some might try browsing through the web's most popular drug-related message boards looking for easy busts every now and then, don't you think?

they could track anyone who logs in if the just get our IP addresses when we surf on the site, but they need a court right for that so i dont think they have time to waste but its really easy to track down

The government isn't afraid of the courts. The government is the courts. They will collect all the information they desire, and so long as it is kept on the down-low there's really nothing anybody can do about it.

Why wouldn't they? They're going to use whatever intelligence they can to bust up drug rings; that's part of their job. And here we have a message board of drug users, who might leak some valuable information on the drug trade. It's common sense that they would check it out. Sure they're probably not analyzing every word anybody ever says here, but chances are they're here on the look-out for threads like "HI MY NAME IS LARRY SMITH AND YOU CAN BUY POT FROM ME IF YOU CALL ME AT 555-7483".

Honestly, im a little paranoid posting on here, but at the same time, im a consumer of the ganja, not a seller so i guess im in the clear as much as you can be whilst using an illegal sunstance. This is a choice we all make, and its a risk we all feel is a worthwhile one at that.

Are you referring to the Patriot Act? If so, it doesn't mean anything regarding this site. You have the freedom of speech to talk about recreational drugs all you want.
Now if you're an admitted drug kingpin on this website, then you may recieve some attention from authorities (and don't think they aren't surfing this site, of course they are), but you have the right to freedom of speech, which allows you to speak freely about what you want on this website.

Au contraire, they were first dealt with long before, by the Woodrow Wilson administration, through the Espionage and Sedition Acts of 1917 (remember the Red Scare?). The neocons are just trying to finish off what's left.

While the PATRIOT Act may not deserve all of the ridicule that is heaped against it, there is little doubt that the legislation has been repeatedly and seriously misused by the Justice Department. Consider the following:
â?¢ It has been used more than 150 times to secretly search an individualâ??s home, with nearly 90% of those cases having had nothing to do with terrorism.
â?¢ It was used against Brandon Mayfield, an innocent Muslim American, to tap his phones, seize his property, copy his computer files, spy on his children, and take his DNA, all without his knowledge.
â?¢ It has been used to deny, on account of his political beliefs, the admission to the United States of a Swiss citizen and prominent Muslim Scholar to teach at Notre Dame University.
â?¢ It has been used to unconstitutionally coerce an Internet Service Provider to divulge information about e-mail activity and web surfing on its system, and then to gag that Provider from even disclosing the abuse to the public.
â?¢ Because of gag restrictions, we will never know how many times it has been used to obtain reading records from library and bookstores, but we do know that libraries have been solicited by the Department of Justice â?? voluntarily or under threat of the PATRIOT Act â?? for reader information on more than 200 occasions since September 11.
â?¢ It has been used to charge, detain and prosecute a Muslim student in Idaho for posting Internet website links to objectionable materials, even though the same links were available on the U.S. Governmentâ??s web site.
Even worse than the PATRIOT Act has been the abuse of unilateral powers by the Administration. Since September 11, our government has detained and verbally and physically abused thousands of immigrants without time limit, for unknown and unspecified reasons, and targeted tens of thousands of Arab-Americans for intensive interrogations and immigration screenings. All this serves to accomplish is to alienate Muslim and Arab Americans â?? the key groups to fighting terrorism in our own county â?? who see a Justice Department that has institutionalized racial and ethnic profiling, without the benefit of a single terrorism conviction.
Nor is it helpful when our government condones the torture of prisoners at home and abroad, authorizes the monitoring of mosques and religious sites without any indication of criminal activity, and detains scores of individuals as material witnesses because it does not have evidence to indict them. This makes our citizens less safe not more safe, and undermines our role as a beacon of democracy and freedom.

I dont think it would be that easy...
My 2 pennies is: If they took the time to watch this site for X amount of days/months to obtain enough evidence to warrant any type of action, dont ya think they are gonna knock on your door with a search warrant at least, if not more...I dont know, all im saying is that we all take a risk in partaking in consumtion of an ILLEGAL substance, there are risks involved, then we post about it on a public website and share our experiences..Might not want to be so open with our day to day lives/personal information to help aid in those govenment officials whos job is to stop what we do?!?Im guilty of doing it, posting personal info or pictures that could be pretty easily traced to me(my face will never be posted here)with the knowledge i prolly shouldnt, but its all in fun and im not dputting myself in postions that would bring that kinda attention my way either.. I dunno, its a 50/50 gamble.Im just babling now so im done..i think........yup

i would bet yes ..and if they are watching they can all kiss the crack of my hairy white ass...after 30 somthing yrs of loosing the war on drugs because of thier own incompetance and greed ...it's come down to them going after sick and dying people seeking relief from pain in the last days of thier life.they target these people and recreational users ..mainly because they are ez targets and since most cops are spineless cowardly pussys they go after those least likely to fight back ...it's much safer to bust some kid or old man... for smoking grass rather than go after ..say some tweeker armed to the teeth or the people bringing heroin and coke into the country ..fucking losers

I definitely don't doubt that they have abused it in ways that would benefit the government. I do think we have a good government and judicial system, but the reality is, almost everyone that actually has power in the government is corrupt.

What is sad is that bush got a second term. Whats sad is this god damn holy war of our own. I'm sorry but fucking religion has NO FUCKING PLACE in politics i dont mind politicians that have a religion but when our pres says that its what god wants us to do that just scares the bejesus out of me...if i did everything that god told me to then we'd have alot less stupid people in this world. What I wanna know is how easy it would be to drive a car bomb into a petrochem plant? Anyways no more talk about that or my plans will be foiled......*snicker* oh shit here come the feds to my door see ya guys in 45 years......
