Ok.. Aug20 I'm leaving for college.

by Aug20, these plants will already stink, which means I can't bring them in the car with me (parents are coming).

They'll need a secondary transportation, I was thinking about overnight FedEx to my school. Set the box up like a grow box, and have battery operated fluros to hold my plants over til I get them home to daddy.

I can do this because Aug 19 I can ship stuff from my job. Anybody got ideas?

Waiting til I get to college is NO longer an option, these plants are already growing. And theres no use crying over spilled milk, I have to look ahead for the paper towels. Sooo... anybody got ideas?

Under the best circumstances, ship them overnight and resume life as normal...as much as you can.

Odds are they wont survive the move.

4 weeks into growth, they can't survive an overnight? The fluros are to give them the best chance possibe. A Little light is better than no light.

I suppose you could pack them in stryofoam container like a cooler....and fill with those styrofoam peanust and wire screen down the soil to the pot so it doesnt fly out...

And hope they dont sit in a fed ex truck in 100F weather somewhere and get lucky with the whole thing....

But forget the lights.

i was actually thinking of plastic wrap to keep the soil in, supported by somethin I guess using a screen would be helpful.. the plastic would help keep escaping water..

No, don't be rediculas. You can't ship a live plant, through a company, with a battery operated floro light in there. First off, shipping companies don't treat your package like a new born child. Even if you put a fragile sticker on there, they'll toss it around like a cheap hooker. The lights will break, the plants will get crushed, and what about heat buildup in a crammed, stuffed, cardboard box? You're going to have 2 humid plants, that will generate heat and moisture, with a battery and light? ZAP!! I once received a pack of 40 seeds from a friend that a had a big fragile sticker on it. The package had a size 12 boot print on it. Luckily it made it okay thanks to his good shipping method.

It will be very hard to keep a battery, lights, and 2 live plants, concealed, without getting busted. You get busted, you're fucked.

They are only 4 weeks old you say? Their is a good chance they won't even smell. A lot of strains have a very low plant odor during flowering. Yours is only what, 4 weeks in veg, or 4 weeks from seed? Either way, you can safely conceal 2 plants yourself in a well packed cardboard box, if it's just overnight, without any smell at all. You with your folks still, is that why all the worry? No biggy if you are, but I suggest moving them yourself or forgetting it all. You should have got these clones or whatever after you moved. Why don't you just completely seal off these boxes... spray the inside with fabreeze or something... if you completely seal opff the boxes you shouldn't be able to smell them... And they won't be smelling as bad as they would be if they were already budding.

Bomb and drug sniffing dogs are more and more commonly being used by FedEx and other shippers, especially when it comes to overnight shipments. I've been reading cops saying that "overnight" delivery is the "method of choice" for drug shipping and that they are fighting it by randomnly screening packages with false or inaccurate return addresses.

How much is bullshit to simply scare people away from shipping by FedEx? I have no idea. Like the IRS putting out stories of "huge increases" in funding for lower income auditing, I'm sure part of it is just intimidation.

When you fill out an address label for FedEx, you'll be signing a waiver that allows them to open and inspect your package. And even though they'd likely not waste resources, your DNA will be all over and in the package.

I had looked into it for a recent trip to Disney. How nice it would have been to arrive and have an ounce of pot delivered to my room by UPS.

And it would be a shitty way to first meet your Dean.

what if you just cloned them n brought them with you in somthing to keep them for the trip,seems like it would be way less trouble and alot smaller,then just give the plants to a friend n have him send you some budz when thier done under false names or somthing

Pretty ballsy idea -- good for missing a few years of college while you languish in jail. I would just take some clones and pack them in test tubes (or something similar) with a wet towel or grow cube and pack your root toner and clones in your bag. Easy enough to score some pots and soil locally. I believe that's how they mail them too -- though I prefer to keep my stuff within my jurisdiction (where I can see it).

bagseed or not.. weed is still beautiful.. i really appreciate the cloning idea.. i had forgetten all about it.. i can cut every branch :lol: and clone it (not literally)

my friend is a little reluctant on maintaining it... so idk... i'll be setting the main body up for outdoor growing in my last week or so.. when i come home, they should be blossommed... hopefully not withered away either.. i found a great section of land for her.. so i'm gonna dig out a hole, install a "shell" and fill it with soil/peetmoss, whichever's best for the plant.. and plant her in the ground.. get some layer grass, and cover the soil up.. i'll have my friend work her out during the night..

i'm hoping to get a male.. I'll have more than one plant growin to make clones.. so hopefully one of the groups will be males.. the reason for this is so that i can get more seeds... i'm not going to have it pollenate ALL my females, but one of them will b taking the fall.. I wont have any problem picking seeds out..

I heard you can just up root the plant (makin sure all roots are intact and not bothered) .. and air seal ur bag (Takes odor and air-causing mold out) and bam ...

Travel with it .. my homie did that to his .. he pruned about half the leaves off (for it bein more compact) air zipped it (professional air seal .. they sell that lil machine) and there ya go ..

i'm sorry to tell you but you're fucked up...you should consider that before you start growing.....i understand as everyone else here that you love your babies but it's YOUR safety that comes first....if you get arrested you'll never see them growing, you'll be just imagining them in your dreams......bottom line, grow when you're ready....it really doesn't worth the trouble at this point as the risks are many are the worst thing is that you can't eliminate them.....if you start again around september , by end of november you'll be harvesting :)

newgrower.. i won't get caught.. trust me on that... thats also why i'm taking all the necessary precautions.. school doesnt start til august 24th and i've been planning 2 months ahead of time.. i drew out my systems, wrote down what i needed, etc.. etc.. etc.. if i start in august, i'll be harvesting in october :cool:

i am takin the clones... they're not gonna take the plant.. they wont even kno, they'll think its a bush, and they wouldnt expect it growin in my town... those in my town havent seen the plant in its beautiful form.. only dried n ready for a pipe... the otheres, they have their stuff in their own town n wouldnt think enough to consider it.. i'm safe with that.. i wont get caught in college tho...
