In a few weeks I'm moving back to college. So I'm trying to boom my plants prior to. I set up a temporary grow area inside a filing cabinet using a drawer.
Its a little over 12" high, and the pot i have there is in the front divider. At the top of the drawer, I have a fluro mounted: one of those compact fluros. This is only temporary til I can go to college, where I'll build practically the SAME stealth growbox as Cam showed in the Basic Growing forum. We devised the plan together and thats what we came up with.

I'm getting some plants in the mail in a day or two. They'll be going into that drawer for the time being. By the time I'm ready to go to college, they'll start stinking, which means the THC is in production.

Right now i'm in a tight situation, on where to put the plant when it starts to stink and when I go to college.

The parents are gonna be with me for a day or two, so i gotta figure out what i'm gonna do, cus i can't bring the plant with me directly. But thats for another thread.

DON'T comment on how I should wait a little longer so they would start to stink after i moved in, because waiting is no longer an option. I said i'm getting PLANTS in the mail, not SEEDS. They've already started.

Pic 1 is the drawer. Where the drawer closes, is where the fluro is (toward the front).

Pic 2 is a drawing/mapout (#1) of my stealth grow box.

More pictures will be added, I have much planning to do.

That's quite a nice setup you got there man, good job!

Do you know what strain of plant you're getting? Just remember, not all plants smell as bad as some others. Some don't smell like pot at all! I would suggest staying away from anything that has skunk in it. Very pugent stench and is hard to conceal without a carbon filter. My second grow I grew white widow, I was forced to cut a week or two early because of the skunky smell. It absolutly reeked! But my lates grow, PPP, had hardly any smell to it. It didn't smell up my crawl space at all, but smelled lemony close up. So hopefully you get a low oder plant. Just because a plant isn't smelly, doesn't mean it won't be potent.

Good luck and keep us updated! Peace :)

I don't kno the strain.. I'm starting out with bag seed.. soon i'll be getting some good shit from harddon, after i prove to him that i'm worth it lol

u serious about the some don't smell like pot? tell me which strains NOW!

so wait a minute.. Weed DOES smell like skunk?! I thought it was my imagination!!!!! We have skunks at college, and sometimes I smell them, and sometimes I smell weed, n can't tell the difference. I feel soo much better knowin its not just me! back to the topic tho.. as u can see I plan on having the carbon filter.. Unlike Cam's set up, I'll have my filter INSIDE the box, I want to make the bin look as much like a bin as possible. It needs to be camoflauge..

As well, unlike Cam, I'm going to try a hydro idea.. putting a screen at the bottom, and starting off with soil dumped on the bottom of the bin, instead of growing in pots.. as soon as the stalk is well developed, the soil is getting trashed... I'll be making support beams for the stems, and i'll set up a mist to spray my roots periodically..

Oh ya weed smells like skunk buddy. There are SO many different strains with traces on skunk in there. Some reek up an entire house, some it's just a slight skunk smell.

Yes, a lot of strains don't actually smell like pot at all, while growing that is. I couldn't tell you which ones because there are literally thousands upon thousands of differnet kinds. I"ve smelled some that smell like, earthy kind of, like a rich smelling dirt almost, nice smell. Some smell like lemons, or a fresh fruit bowl, some even smell spicey, skunky, and of course like pot.

Try some Lowryder. That is probably an ideal strain for you as it's finishing height is only about 2ft. Is an autoflowering strain. That means it will flower on it's own even under 24hrs of light, and it takes only about 8 weeks from seed to harvest, low stench factor as well. Afghan is another strain I found that is low oder, Mighty Mite from BC is low odor. That is all I have exp. with, so that's all I can tell you. Good luck.
