View Full Version : Do you think.......

....that growing two plants in one container (3 gallon) would absolutely 100% for sure cause both of them to turn into males (because of the additional stress)? And yes I know it's not a good thing to do (two in one container), but I learned that...after the fact.
Additionally, do you think that most bag seeds will turn into females if not stressed? Or do they have a tendancy to go male? Have some of the same seeds I got the two males out of and am a little worried that I might get the same with subsequent attempts. I understand nothing is for sure, but just thought someone may have had some experience with such things. Thanks!

2 plants in one container does not guarantee males any more than me jerking off insures I will parent a child.
Bag seed can and will produce females plants all day long.

Depends on where you jerk off. Course ya gotta have a hard on first. Or a hard Don. Whichever cums first.
My point was that stress seems to be what helps a plant become a male. Since when everyone found out that I had two plants in one 3 gallon container they went nuts and said "NO NO NO!" I figured that less stress might help create females. More stress defined as possibly being root bound and competition between the two plants for nutrients and light, would create stress = males. More times than not. Which is what happened with my one massive grow experience.
As for bag seeds, I just thought maybe someone might have some percentages of success for females vs. males from plain 'ol bag seeds. I understand lots of things can effect sex. But if, for instance, you plant 10 seeds will 50% of them be females? No stress. Perfect growing environment.
Just trying to learn something here.

I planted about 14 plants....thinking I would kill all or most....
Out of the 14 that I kept, 9 were verified females.
They others were yanked when I got stoned and got paranoid one night.
Only one plant had verified male.
I just found one yesterday that escaped my paranoid madness and it too is a female.
So,.....
14 seeds in dirt.
14 germinated.
10 verified females.
1 male.
All were grown instress free conditions...albeit the temps did get as low as 55F in the grow chamber in April for a few days...constant avg 60F was the temp during their vegging period.
I agree stress is an inducer of male species.
I agree stress reduction / freedom will aid in female developement.
