i am im the process of remodeling my closet for my new grow room. area is 3x6x8 i want to put a veg cabinet in the room just wanted to know if i can mount my 3ft florescents vertical in this cabinet, will it work this way as
It would work to an extent but you'd be much better having it horizontal as there's a much bigger surface area giving off light

Vertical is fine in fact if you add some CFL to the top those would kick ass as slide light.

I concur that horizontal lighting will give off up to an extra 30% more light. That is preferred if of course you want the light directed directly down on the canopy.
I you hang it vertically, you need to 'drop' it down between the growth shoots or between plants for the same, if not preferred effect.
