hm.. im not sure if someone posted something like this in the past but ill go ahead anyways..

well...i use homemade vaporizer when i smoke my plants..it gives a amazing high with such little use of weed..but the down side is...it kills my lighters because you have to hold the flame on for so long...and ive noticed going through lighters and lighters...so i got an idea...simple..haha

anyways..light a candle of any sort...and just put the bulb over that..the light stays on...little use of lighter fluid....and the candle gives off good scent!!

haha anyways...just wanted to share...^^

1. cut off half the metal part of a light bulb.

2. wash out the insides, makes sure it's really dry inside before doing smoking anything out of it.

3. punch a hole with a nail through the middle of a bottle cap and screw it on, or if it doesn't screw on nicely, electrical tape it (though this seems to get my fingers a bit black from the tape for some reason) .

4. stick a hollowed out pen tube through the bottle cap into the middle of the bulb.

5. put a second hole in the cap, or metal part of the bulb.

6. Use: put weed in the bottom of the bulb. light a candle, hold the bulb over the flame. don't heat it too fast or you'll get some smoke. hold your finger on the side hole as you heat it. when it's done heating and has vaporized, remove your finger and suck in through the pen tube.

on a side note, some find it's more effective if you give the bulb a shake or a swirl before inhaling, to stir up the vapor.

Instead of a candle, why don't you just buy a torch lighter(butane). They work great for that kinda stuff. Their like a mini blowtorch

rubbing alcohol on a Qtip works good it puts off a good hot clean flame

yea i was thinking of making a lightbulb vaporizer, but i heard that u couldnt use a white bulb, it had to be clear. is that true?

nah the white bulbs are only white because of a powder inisde the bulb, just cut it open, take the insides out, and wash it right out, comes out real easy!

ok thanks, and i forgot to ask, does it have to be 100 watts, cuz all i have are 60 watt bulbs. theyre the same size so i dont see why it would matter. but every site i looked on said to use a 100 watt bulb.

it doesnt matter..those 100, 60 watts are the things in the middle..and u pull those things out..so it doesnt matter :]

not DIRECTLY ON THE BULB..but like some of the flame can be touching but it doesnt matter..and swirl the flame..dont keep in one spot...when to smoke is something u gotta get the "feel" of..lol..u can see a slight smoke in time...but not thick smoke..or thats bad...u want light misty hard to see smoke...if u get the bulb near a bright light..u can see the vapors...then u just inhale..ull feel it haha,.

depends on the quality of your herb...just don't start tokin until you see white vapor start to rise off of your bud, it takes a bit for it for the THC crystal to hit vapo point. Don't be shocked by the bitter taste either, thats how THC tastes in its purer vapor form, its nothing like the skunky or piney smoke you get from a bowl or bong.

yea...country growin is right...and the taste is kinda...unique...haha u wont see much smoke but when u inhale it..ull feel and taste the bud..trust me..and in a few hits..youll be blazzin...the good thing about this is..u use such LITTLE herb..and get higher then filling a blunt or joint..it saves weed...and does as well or even a better job in getting u high! haha have fun man...

hey i got a couple of questions for anyone who knows:

1. im in the process of making one but i just cleaned the bulb with rubbing alcohol and salt, rinsed i good, and gotten MOST of the water out, so i wanna know if anyone has any ideas of how to dry in there cause i dont wanna waste any weed

2.when i out my herb in should it be chopped up really really fine?

3.for mine i just put a pen tube through the cap and just poked a hole also on the top of the cap, will this work shittier as apose 2 sticking a short straw jammed in there?

how do u cut the metal thing off? what did u use to cut with, it seems like it would be hard to do without breaking the glass

chr0nic, I used an average hand-held metal saw when I made mine to cut the metal off, just make sure not to cut at the bottom rib of the metal casing, or you will chip the tip of the glass.
