Is there any health problems that may arrive from drinking Equate (the main one), Listerine, or any other "mouth detergent"??? I drank 1/3 of an Equate bottle of mouthwash (26.9% highest I could find, equallying 35.8% or uhh like 53.8 percent equalling 53.8% proof niggy!!) and I am buzzed like hell or almost drunk off 1/3 of the bottle. So if there are any bad side effects in my system tell me..... please... and if u respond as ur dumb as fuck get a real job, well fuck u, go on probation and get everything u usuallly do... NOT. Nick knows where I am coming from. Every word looks diff btw, anyways I have the computer tooken away so yeah, respond PLEASE but I may not check it until the 34th uhh like 1 week. PEACE

Well i'm not quite sure what bad health effects you will get from listerine. I've heard of people drinking that all the time. I assume it's safe, except for some of the other chemicals in it such as the menthol and preservatives. I've heard of people drinking bottles of Vanilla extract too but i'm not sure how safe it is. The only thing I would be worried about is the type of alcohol they put in that. If it is the same kind you get from hard liquor then fine, drink it up, but if it is the other types it's bad as hell. I've seen "ethanol" types of rubbing alcohol and thought i could drink it but i later learned it had bad stuff in it too. So i never drank that shit. I'd be concerned that the company denatures that alcohol (put harmful chemicals in the listerine) But if not i'd say it was okay to drink occasionally. Listerine brand is supposed to be like 37% or something which is about as strong as jack daniels or something. But i don't really know what i'm talking about so don't take any of my advice and dont fucking drink rubbing alcohol ever! it's different than listerine. It's BAD it will kill you. seriously! IT WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!!!! good luck with the blue dragon.

Here's the problem I have with this sort of thing. If you're so desperate to get "fucked up" that you'll stoop to drinking mouthwash, cologne and vanilla extract then what won't you try? Where is the line between recreational mind altering and plain self-destructive behavior? It's very dangerous. What most people don't realize is that any substance containing ethyl alcohol (ethanol, the same type of alcohol found in liquor) that is not intended for human consumption and therefore not controlled by the ATF is made with denatured alcohol. This is alcohol to which certain chemicals have been added to render it unfit for drinking, and are nearly impossible to remove. These additives can be toxic or can make one very ill. If the label says it contains something like "SD Alcohol #40", it's denatured alcohol. All the mouthwashes I've seen, including Listerine, are made with denatured alcohol and drinking them can have serious consequences, including death. Additionally mouthwashes may contain fluorides and other additives which also may be toxic. Fluorides, in particular are very poisonous in large amounts, which is why toothpaste packages warn against swallowing it. If you need so badly to get drunk or whatever that you're willing to risk serious illness or even death, then there are fundamental issues you need to address or else you may find your life on a downward spiral you cannot recover from. I've seen it happen, and it's never pretty.

You know something? You're absolutely right. My apologies and I have deleted my initial post.

Since Vanilla extracts are meant to be consumed (albeit in small amounts), would they still use denatured alcohol in those?
But still, just stand out the grocery store and ask some dudes who look like they'd be cool if they're 21 and see if they can buy you some booze, and give them a little extra cash, it's not that hard.

I hate to encourage this type of thing, but I was in rehab with a guy who drank mouthwash all the time, and it didn't hurt him. No worse than liquor store alcohol, anyway.

...I was in rehab with a guy who drank mouthwash all the time, and it didn't hurt him. Don't be so sure of that. While the type of denatured alcohol used in mouthwashes - SD or specially denatured alcohol, as opposed to completely denatured alcohol - is considered "safe" if consumed accidentally in small quantites, when drunk in large quantities can cause long-term neurological problems and cumulative liver damage. You may not drop dead right away, but if you keep it up for a long period of time, you're just asking for trouble. And if you grab a bottle of fluoride mouthwash, you could drop dead right away. Fluoride poisoning (http://www.emedicine.com/emerg/topic181.htm) is nothing to screw around with:
Once absorbed, fluoride binds calcium ions and may lead to hypocalcemia. Fluoride has direct cytotoxic effects and interferes with a number of enzyme systems; it disrupts oxidative phosphorylation, glycolysis, coagulation, and neurotransmission (by binding calcium). Fluoride inhibits Na+/K+ -ATPase, which may lead to hyperkalemia by extracellular release of potassium. Fluoride inhibits acetylcholinesterase, which may be partly responsible for hypersalivation, vomiting, and diarrhea (cholinergic signs). Seizures may result from both hypomagnesemia and hypocalcemia. Severe fluoride toxicity will result in multiorgan failure. Central vasomotor depression as well as direct cardiotoxicity also may occur. Death usually results from respiratory paralysis, dysrhythmia, or cardiac failure.

I wasn't advising anyone try it. It can't really be that hards to find to find someone to buy you a bottle of booze, can it?

Actually yeah it is REAL fucking hard to find anything because I am in such a tight situation, no dealers can come out, I can't go anywhere, and I've already drinken everything in the house as liquor and beer goes. I only drink 1/3 of the bottle and it does me good buzzin because I'm on anti-depressants and it makes it like very little booze makes me buzz hard or drunk so I don't needa drink alot of it. I haven't had any side effects from it yet, and I have one more third of the bottle to drink. Then I'll stop for awhile. The type I got was Equate Listerine Fluoride Rinse. No harsh taste, easiest to drink I think compared to the wintergreen and whatnot. Anyways, yeah I guess I'll try to find some real alcohol.

Damn, I'm glad I'm 21! Have you guys ever tried making friends with a wino? Worth a shot. But yea, I grew my first crop because I was young and had no good hookeup.

What exactly is fluoride and what's so bad about it?? Is it like a toxin??

Fluorides are a series of compounds containing fluorine - a highly reactive elemental gas.
They are used in many dental care products, since they help protect teeth against attack by bacteria. However, fluorides are also very toxic, so the packages always warn against swallowing. See the following link for more details:

what ever happened to smoking weed and drinking beers?

Listerine has alcohol and some other mind-fucking chemical in it.
When I drink that shit it almost wants to make me hurl every 3 drink's. But that stopped last time I drunk it and I kept chuggin the bottle. DAMN I WAS JUICED

Lethal dose of sodium fluoride is about 5 grams. Do not, from this, attempt to figure out how much mouthwash you can drink. However, chlorine is also a reactive, elemental gas (and a halogen, as is fluorine, although flourine often does not react in the typical halogen way) That said, sodium chloride is table salt. But I can't help thinking that if mouthwash was killing people then we would be seeing commercials on TV from lawyers offering to sue the company that makes listerine.

Around here, flouride is added in to tap water at the processing plant, and you can also actually buy bottled water that contains flouride. If it's that toxic, why the fuck would they do that?

The concentrations of fluorides in potable water are FAR smaller than those found in toothpastes or fluoridated mouthwashes. You'd have to drink hundreds of gallons to even approach a lethal dose.
