i like seriously recomend it. everone needs to keep busy even if its like working form home as some ppl on cann.com do and u just need to keep busy in life. Its a life long thing just about and with the growing number of jobs in the world it cant be that hard to nail one and a steady one even.

Burger King, which I actually sorta liked at the time, was my first job. I think I was 15. Then I did concessions at the cinema, which I *loved*! It was really busy in between shows, but then in between it was totally dead, so you had plenty of time to clean or whatever else, then just chat. Also where I worked you got free popcorn & soda when you worked, & free movies anytime.

Eventually I began cleaning people's homes (I think I was 15 or 16 when I started). For 2-3 hours of work, once a week, people will pay $50 or $60, sometimes even more. I didn't like it as much as the other jobs, but it paid a lot more per hour. With 2 or 3 regular houses per week I made as much as my friends who worked a lot more hours. Happy job hunting!

hey honey...just found out about that movie. it seems as though their doing some special showing tomorrow night, (from what i could hear-was stoned and napping-sorry) and the national movie release should be around the first of august, but i'll keep checking.

as for my first job when i was 16 was a t-shirt shop. we printed decals on t-shirts all day. hot and crampy, but when i got my check...that was cool.

look for things you're interested in, (other than weed-honey ;) ) and see what's open. anything else i can do just holla!!!!

Working at that age is the best thing, you've no idea what you'll learn from it, its whole new chapter and you'll love it, please keep trying for a job. I worked at a corner shop whjen i was 16 and alsom as a waitres at a tea room. I was SHIT! i forgot knives and forks and i ate off the plate before i gave the food out. Tips are good though!

Maybe construction(cleaning up @ first) or any apprentice type work. That way at least you'll get a fair wage. We pay $8 p/h for summer help under 18

When I was 15 I detassled corn. Which basically involved me and a bunch of other kids my age walking through cornfield and plucking the "tassle" (The topmost section of the cornstalk) off each and every individual stalk. Conditions varied from extremely wet and cold in the morning to blisteringly hot during the day. And there is no shelter from the sun in a cornfield...

...on second though you might want to avoid a job like that :)

When do you turn 16 penguin? I thought you were 15 already, it shouldn't be too long

i guess all areas has specific labor intensive jobs
mine has things like working in tobacco or for farmers hoeing veggies
row after row of them,in getting hey out the fields
there is firewood to cut, lawns to mow, weed trimming to do
i did it all i could and never turned down a decent job
i would not work all day for bullshit wages but ive had few jobs i wished i didnt take as a teen, feeling it was all i had,
much like you feel limited in what you can get paid to do,
can i suggest you make some flyers if your serious and put them up around stores, some has lil boards outside for such,
maybe put' big strong kid willing to work for decent pay 'call if you need ya yard cleaned up, ect, what ever your willing to do
set a hourly wage for ya self,or dialy rate.
those who call are willing to pay that or they wont bother,
ya never know ya might find some drywaller needs a flunky to carry things and help move things, lots of lil things they need done they will pay someone to do becuase they make BIG bucks doing other parts of the job and can be doing that instead of using time, moving benchs and mixing mud,ect
was one of them too,its how i got started in drywall way back then.
not sure if the way the laws are if that is even possible now
being a helper,a go-for,
good luck

damn, never knew i'd ever run into another corn detassler..

I detassled corn one summer when I was 14. We didn't have a tractor. :( That's some hard fucking work right there.

Anyway, I know fast food restaraunts seem like they would be a bad place to work, but I've worked and Taco Bell and Wendy's and both rocked. You could go in stoned and no one cared unless you were on register, in which case you could go in stoned with a thing of visine.

We smoked pot there on a daily basis. Our 'cigarette' breaks consisted solely of walking to our cars and breaking out the one hitters. My manager would make me hit his flask all the time or make fun of me all day. ((He thought I hated drinking, just because I tell him I'd rather smoke pot. But man, free hard alcohol is free hard alcohol.))

It's really simple work too. And once you get into the groove of it, it's fast as hell. Plus, you get to laugh at customers who drive through alot. There were two buttons on the headset, A was for talking to the assholes and B was for talking to our buddies, as we learned on the first day of training. The assholes were the customers of course, and the buddies our fellow employees.

Yeah, the customers can be jerks, but that's the only downside of the job. ((besides low pay, but you're going to get the same pay pretty much whevever you work at 16.)) but if you don't let yourself get riled up the job is a blast. It's easy to not get riled up when you get to smoke throughout the day.

My first job was at Wendy's I worked there for 2 years. Then I was unemployed up until the 20th of this month when this temp agency i applied at called me with a job offer. Now I work at this factory real close to where I live packaging cell phone parts. I don't know if Temp agencies accept 16 year olds but you may want to check one out.

TARGET. Say it with me stonedpenguin T.A.R.G.E.T. . Let's first recall my recent jobs, and my current ones
15 years old - Worked at a deli/cafe sort of place for three months before i moved to milwaukee.
next job (still 15)... working at a pet store... sucked balls, cleaned dog shit up constantly for fucking 3 months before i got bumped up to aquarium/reptile management... but the job sucked at it was hard work.
next job (15 to like a month after i turned 16) - Worked at Hallmark... with all women. THat was a pretty pimp as job... i loved it... they got a new manager and fired me three days later for no reason (which i got recalled from my record but still... it was gay.)
I worked at Target for a year and eleven months. The job was pretty fuckin cool, the people were cool, it was laid back... a great place all around. Have to be sixteen to work there, and they usually start at six seventy five an hour (more in areas less in others.... but around here that's good money for a sixteen year old)... They started me out higher than that and i had 2 raises. It was a great atmosphere and i loved it (minus the management... but shit, it still wasn't bad). I worked food ave in target for the last year (and guest services... that was fun listening to bitchy ass people while i was stoned.... seriously... it was fun, it just made me laugh...). Food ave was awesome, could eat whatever for free, didn't have a "manager" persay, but a pretty cool person who they made manager... (but she really wasn't like one).... and it was a great fuckin place... Met shitloads of people there and a bunch of friends, including my best friend (and she's hotter than hell). The pay is pretty good for the age, and it's not trashy like Mcdonald's.

Now I work at Domino's as a delivery driver, smoke weed in the cooler, eat pizza, smoke like, ten cigarette's an hour, and play games on the computer all day. I average around 13 bucks an hour doing it to, and i walk home with cash every night... and that's fucking badass. To bad you aren't 18 cameron or i'd suggest that... but target is your best bet while you're finishing highschool. (wal-mart sucks, stick with target...)

Anyway, that's my two cents and i'm really fucking stoned so sorry if i kinda went on and on with that.

I work in a bakery man, family business, it's good work. I've been doing it for years, I could probably get a job at any bakery pretty easily now .I'm 19 now and I'm leaving for college this september. I'm going for Horticulture. I'll know how to grow weed and shit. I actually want to grow my own herb and vegetable gardens too. I'll porbably try and get a job in landscaping. Hard work but decent pay. I could a job in pesticdes or in forestry. I kinda want to move out to BC and do seasonal work. Forestry and landscaping in the summer, ski resort jobs in the winter, growing weed inbetween to help make ends meet

My first job was at Little Caesars. LOL It was fun, actually. But then, the high school Gods smiled upon me, and I was hired at National Record Mart--I got "in" at the mall!!!! LOL Damn I miss vinyl.

After high school, I worked in an office for a year and a half....thought "screw this" and went off to college.

Good luck!!!!

Heres a HUGE tip....don't be selective about where you work. It'll just make it that much harder to find a job you want. Once you get out of college (assuming your going), then you'll be able to 'choose' where you want to work. (sort of). Until then, go whereever there's work. Alsom have you had a job before?

I'll never work in a fastfood place. I don't support those places. The idea of humans making millions upon millions of dollars at the expense of another animal is sick. The conditions the animals go through up until death is appauling. Not to mention the animals are pumped with steroids to beef them up. None of the food they claim is 'fresh' is actually fresh.

I used to lifeguard. You have to take a few courses, but for summer work you can't beat it. Usually noone drowns and you can just watch the chicks.
