Ok people so here is the Deal.....I have previously posted about feeling down quite abit in the previous year and found I was withdrawin into myself and not Being "Jack The Lad" as everybody knows I am/was!!!
Well, I have had several nasty things happen recently, i.e....
....My Dad going to Jail last week for 5 year!!!
....lots of other things!! (You don't need to know really)!!!
Well, I went to see the doctor and she has prescribed me with the following medication:.....
....Fleuoxetine Hydrochloride (PROZAC) for DEPRESSION?
....Olanzapine for blocking out false beliefs!
....Mirtazapine to help me sleep!!
My Question is have any of you taken any of this medication and what were your thoughts, positive/negative on them!!
Cheers
Kieron ;)

I haven't taken Prozac, but I do take other anti-depressants. All I can say is be careful drinking booze. 2 beer will feel like 4 beer. Smoking weed is fine, my doctor encourages it.
Olanzapine I take every so often to calm me down. I use it as an anti-anxiety drug, works great too. Again, be careful drinking booze.
Last one, I don't know. I'm too sleepy as it is. Be careful drinking alcohol, that's all my advice. Anything else should not effect you. My doctor encourages me to smoke MJ and is all for legalizing it. He said if he could hand out bags of pot for help instead of prescription drugs, he would, but until then, we do what we gotta do right.

I don't think it is quite that long, about 7-14 days. That's what my doc told me anyways.
You won't feel, so happy glad after the first time you take it. It takes time to build, and slowly but surely, everyday you take it, you should start feeling a little more up than down. It doesn't have immediate effects, but everyday you take it, you should feel better. In about 7-14days you should notice a change in how brain is operating, but yes, it may take up to 3-6 weeks for it to be working to its full potential.
i take prozac it doesn't really do much i shoould probably stop taking it

Not all prescription are for everyone. For some it works, some it doesn't, some just take time to find the right one. It works for some people, but if you haven't been through dperession or anxiety or whatever, trust me, you never want to go back and trying anything helps. These prescription drugs help a person be normal. The thing with depression or anxiety is your body are not getting the natural chemicals the body produces. These cells are somewhat trapped, and these medications open up those lines and get a person back to normal again.
That's the problem, people don't feel normal, that's why they need drugs.

^So True Mate! I kept everything in my head for months until 2 weeks ago, hence my disappearance from these boards, and can honestly say even talking about the subjects which have lead me to depression has helped no end.
I feel as though now people know they can understand a lot of past endevours and absence from work and feel as though I don't have to be on edge and hide emotions as much now!...
...It's a BRAVE and HARD thing to admit, especially someone like me....I mean all other people see is....
...."An Athletic twenty-something, without a care in the World"
As I have previously posted I was a Resident MC at a Hardcore Rave In UK and found this ultimately led to me putting on a "front" that I was LIVING Life To the Max and enjoying every minute, whereas I was Starting to Realise that Life ain't Fun and games! .... In fact, Life for me meant Turning Up....Thats all I was doing, Turning Up, always on the move and Seeking to Please other people, regardless of the Impact on Myself!
I gave up the Rave Scene 2 years ago, the RAVERS changed their whole Party Ethic and Myself aswell as many others grew tired of the "Rude Boy"/"Chavs" which found they had the right to determine who attended the Events! .....
.....My Pal/Mate said I have a "Body of a Twenty-odd year old, and the views of a Fascist Sixty Year old, who is mesmerised by the State of The World"!!!!
^Kinda True to an extent!

Fleuoxetine is the generic version of prozac, which I am currently on (and have been on for like 3 years).... They say it works the same and shit, but if you go see any doctor who knows what the hell he's talking about, it doesn't do the same thing. Hence my bitchy parents making me go in for a med check (cause they found out the generic version doesn't do the same things)... but i've been on it for 3 years for OCD and it wasn't too bad of a drug. I hate all of those psychiatric bullshit prescription drugs though and have maybe taken the medication like once a week, if even, weed keeps me pretty chilled. Fluoxetine isn't to bad of a drug, makes you a lightweight if you drink, but fuck all that shit, just be yourself and don't take any of those pills. (cept the sleeping pills, those serve a real purpose.)
