Just saw a growing video and they mentioned anti-detection foil. Anyone use it? Know where to get it? Know how it works? Im really interested in it because i see helocopters around all the time and some fly pretty close to my house.

It's known as C3 Anti-Detection Film and comes in two millimeter rolls just like Mylar. One side is composed of Mylar while the other side is a heat resistant material. LEO (Law Enforcment Officials) use a technology called Infared Scanning (IR) for growroom conformations. C3 Anti-Detection Film masks roughly ninety percent of the heat that your garden generates making it almost entirely undetectable to LEO. This material was created in Holland back in the late nineties and since then has been adopted by the United States Military for goverment use which means it is no longer for sale to civilians in the United States. However I did a bit of searching for you and found a place that sells it in England at a very reasonable price. The website address is http://www.greenfinger-hydroponics.co.uk/reflective.htm In addition to it's anti-detection capabilities the Mylar coated side is around 95% reflective if hung properly without bends or creases. I hope I was of help to you regarding this matter. Have a good day.

In the USA the Supreme Court has ruled the use of thermal imaging devices unconstitutional. Such heat sensing devices cannot be use to secure a search warrant for the interior of a private building. They look more at the heat leaving the room then they do heat through the walls anyway.

couldn't this be used to get idea whom they need to watch, whom they need to need to start asking questions. enough to get them looking into ya..
sure it cant be proof, leads to much more.

I think I just saw it at hydroasis.com, I was checking it out in order to reply to a thread somemade about a hydrohut, this is a great site, I don't know how they are to deal with. They also have a great irrigation components page. OK, I just checked it out..Yes it's there Page 64 in their catalog, listed under misc. not reflective materials, but it was a link from the hydrohut page. I think.

Not unconstitutional, but rather it cannot be conducted without a warrant, since such thermal imaging constitutes a "search" as defined in the Fourth Ammendment. This is the gist of the Supreme Court ruling to which you refer. See Kyllo vs. United States (http://straylight.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/99-8508.ZS.html). The important things to remember here are that such imaging technologies cannot be used without a warrant, but once obtained, a warrant allows thermal scanning to be conducted and used as evidence.

I would think in the U.S. right now, all airial rescources would be focused on meth labs....not weed in a closet.

Anyhow, if you want 100% detection proof, just line your walls and ceiling with the drywall that xray rooms are built with...they contain a nice layer of lead which takes care of the problem...vent your exhaust into your A Frame on your home AC.

End of personal invasion issues.

Shit.

I read this thread while sitting here burning some really fine herb...

30 minutes after this thread, I'm freaking cuz this copter flew over my house today...it was a camera unit...

I freaked out and just went outside and yanked all the outdoor plants I had....

I yanked em right outta the earth.

Sticky assed plants.

I feel so bad.....

But I just couldnt handle the intensity of the moment.

Now I gotta figure out what to do with all the fricken weed.

Sittin in a Homer bucket behind the doghouse...

Damn I had some nice trees too.....

Never review these types of threads when stoned :o

Sounds like a nice idea... efficient, except for one thing... isn't lead a heat conductor? and if your saying someone would then have to line their room with C3 ADF afterwards anyway, then wouldn't it be easier to just use the C3 ADF in the first place without all the hassle of finding this x-ray proof lining for hospitals?... and who has the money to spend on building rooms with x-ray lead lined walls in any case? Maybe this person could go a step further, and melt thier own lead?...after they found enough to do it with lol... maybe they could heat it up on a portable stove and paint it on? hehehe

C3 ADF IS AT PRESENT THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY OF LINING A ROOM IF YOUR AIM IS TO HIDE THE HEAT IN YOUR ROOM FROM THE POLICE... THAT IS OF COURSE IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE BUILDING IN A LOFT FOR EXAMPLE. YOU WOULD NOT NEED TO USE IT IN A BASEMENT AS THE ROOMS ABOVE WOULD HIDE THE HEAT SIGNATURE ANYWAY. AND JUST TO MAKE IT CLEAR, HEAT CAMERAS CAN'T SEE THROUGH WALLS...THEY HAVE TO HAVE A CLEAR LINE OF SIGHT AND SENSE THE HEAT FROM A DIRECT SOURCE... THEREFORE THE AIM SHOULD BE TO DEFLECT AS MUCH HEAT FROM THE OUTSIDE WALLS OF YOUR GROW SPACE AS POSSIBLE BACK INTO THE ROOM IN ORDER TO BE EXTRACTED. C3 ADF REFLECTS AROUND 90% OF THE HEAT AWAY FROM THE WALLS.
