My shrooms have stopped growing, or are growing fairly slowly. Just off the cuff, anyone have any ideas why? They're not big enough to pick yet.

I don't have a working camera, so I just attached drawings.

most home grown don't grow as big, they may be ready to pick... i know the one's in my garden aren't as big as in the field and if there are any that are black in your drawing they ususally have dropped their spores already and are finished. Your main goal in growing is to have a good strong bottom, don't worry about the 'flowers' yet...

if you followed my advice with warming it up some, you may want to cool it down some now that they've started, back to 70 - 75 degrees, but other than that, all i know is that moisture/humidity fuel shrooms

Yeah jadeius I did the temp like you said, so I'll go back to 75 now. I think moving it up for awhile did a world of good though, so thanks for that :D
I guess I'll just pick these lil fuckers, dry em, weigh em, and try em out tonight! If they've gone black and dropped their spores, yet still appear to be thriving and alive, will they be poisonous for me to eat?

Didn't read your last post you wrote while I was typing this.
Anyway. Enjoy. ^^ The cap "probably" isn't going to be bad for you, but they always say not to and to just cut away the black.

i eat the black ones, usually make tea or something with them cause they tend to taste... but they never seem to hurt... them dropping their spores doesn't change them, just the end of thier life is all
