i got a big problem

so heres my problem, i am a recent convert to the lovely plant we so all adore. anyways it somehow got out and news travels very quickly in a christian high school. so it had gotten out among friends and they seemed to care and all some threatened to tell my parents but no one has yet. but one of my friends was talking on his phone about me and ym new hobbie and his mom was eavesdropping and overheard. she flipped out, another one of my friends intervened and might have calmed her down and stopped her from telling my parents. but i cant help but feel worried that they r gonna find out. i dont keep any shit at my house, its at a friends cuz his parents dont care, but does anyone have any suggestions for how to get out of it or maybe lighten my impending doom?? my parents r very anal and will freak out over this, any suggestions or solutions r greatly appreciated

If your friends insist on being ignorant fucks about the subject, there's little you can do to change them. They've been subconsciously conditioned from birth to believe the stupid shit they do; it's not like they're thinking it through and choosing a side.

Either get new friends (don't make a big deal about it or they might tell the 'rents as an issue of revenge) or talk to them about what you do. Who knows; maybe they will like it too!

However, consider this: your friend chose to defend you to his parents--even when it meant going against his parents and supporting weed-- rather than watching you get caught and not feeling guilt or taking any responsibility: that's something a good friend does. When I started smoking, all my non-stoner friends threatened to tell my parents, but eventually they realized that I wasn't addicted or a dope fiend, and could continue to lead a perfectly normal life while smoking, and the reefer madness died down. Wait it out before acting; it could be that the clouds have already passed and you're in the clear.

it sounds like you are in a very bad situation for a weed smoker ..most parents who send thier kids to a christian school.. are not going to understand that they have been lied to by the media and the govt about marijuana.. and the kids are going to be the same way..... but i would keep doing what you said about not keeping your stash in the house.... and if you get caught just tell them you were curious and wanted to try it.... and now you know so you wont do it again .. you will need to be carful until you are old enough to move out on your own..because fighting with your folks over weed use by a minor wont work .. but it's no reason to avoid your family so id say just bite the bullet till you can get out on your own good luck dude

I was in a similar situation back when I was in Catholic high school. After the friends I had initailly met learned that I smoked most avoided me like the plague. There were other tokers at the school, however, and gradually I ended up hanging out with them: the "wrong crowd". LOL. I eventually got kicked out of the school after two years, actually they asked me not to return after the end of the year, but I didn't care because we were moving anyway.

I ended up going to 3 different high schools(parents moved a lot) and each time pretty much the same thing happened. In my experience the stoners hung out with the stoners, jocks hung out with jocks, etc etc. That was nearly 20 years ago so things may be different now but I expect they aren't.

I hate to say this but my guess is that you'll need to make new friends. Now that you're smoking you'll want to hang out with others that smoke too. In the meantime, don't go advertising the fact that you smoke to those that don't. As your friends start to change the old friends that might have such a problem with it just won't pay attention anymore and there will be less chance that they'll call your parents.

If your folks do find out ezjim's "just curious" and Ousted's "religious nut" excuses are pretty good. I really don't have any other advice since I didnd't too very good in the area of handling the parents. I was always getting busted by my parents and even the police once. My smoking pot was a huge strain on my realtionship with my parents and we fought about it continuosly until I moved out. Now, however, I have a great relationship with them and its like all those bad times never happened. So just remember, even if they do find out and freak, they'll get over it eventually.

wow this is like deja vu when i was a freshmen my friends and i started smokingbut they stopped and i didnt one of my friends got caught with shit he forgot about he blamed it on me and i had to go to bed wondering everynight when they would call my parents, so i came clean and they were like well we dont have a problem if ur safe and dont drink (alcohol problem in the family) and if u try to keep driving high to a minimum (my dad was a public defender had huge cases like that) they were suprisingly cool about it. even if ur family wont be that cool they will be happier to here it from u then another parent. getting that kinda info from another parent is like a slap in the face so if u have the balls u can stop the constant worry

I go to a private christian school and I was really worried about getting found out, so I began to hang out with the black kids (I'm most certaintly not racist). It's great, they don't say shit to teachers, and now that i hang out with them they defend me like nothing else. It's sweet.
