Yup, believe everything you see in the media just because it's in the media. No chance these images could be faked. I like how they mispell the english words on these banners on purpose to try to make it look more authentic. Where do you get that a few images of Iraqis protesting means that the majority of Iraqis think that way? Ultimately, this is just entertainment to you people.

i'd tell the citizens that dont know better or have no idea what cable tv is that i'll go home once you show how much you love me. lol. it's so obvious it's a joke.

how about you call up your local newspaper or news station to ask them to show more footage of day-to-day life since everything's all peachy keen and allllllll the iraqis just love us. im sure they'd love to. i mean....the first station to run something like that would see their ratings soar...

Mosul Citizens Protest Against Insurgency

(Al-Ittihad) For the first time, hundreds of Qayara citizens of Mosul have demonstrated to protest the insurgency. More than 1,500 civilians and military personnel from different villages south of Mosul gathered in Qayara city to denounce the insurgency that is overwhelming Iraq. The demonstration comes at the initiative of clerics, Imams, and government officials who feel the necessity to announce their stance against terrorism. They want to prove that most Iraqis oppose terrorism, which will be defeated by the will of Iraqis.

This was March 2nd and it was lead mostly at the behest of Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, who wants nothing to impede the Shiites from gaining political power in Iraq.....

Al-Sistani is the leading Shi'ite cleric of course. The Shi'ites WILL have the political power since they do consist of 60% of the Iraqi population but Sistani has also been a good friend to the Kurds and the Sunnis. He has encouraged both factions to be part of the process not to mention he put the boot down on Al-Sadr! :D

YES exactly and Juan Cole wrote all about that long before the election and the people were asking for the US to let Sistani oversee but they didn't listen....this entire war may have been prevented if they had listened but they had to get their own puppets in.

Putting Sistani in charge would have made a government in which the Shi'ites would be able to impose their religion/will on the Sunnis and Kurds. 60% of the population will have control but the other 40% can't feel that they went from sunni rulers to shi'ite rulers....not to mention a mullah! That dude is old school Islam! Check it out:

Sistani Wants Islam to Be Sole Source of Legislation
Naseer Al-Nahr, Arab News

BAGHDAD, 7 February 2005 ?? Iraq??s Shiite leader Grand Ayatollah Ali Al-Sistani and another top cleric yesterday demanded that Islam be the sole source of legislation in the country??s new constitution. Hours later US Vice President Dick Cheney said Iraq has the right to shape its own democracy without becoming ??an Iraqi version of America.?

The national assembly formed after last month??s historic elections is to oversee the drawing up of the new constitution. The role of Islam has been at the heart of months of debate between rival parties and factions as well as the US-led occupation authority which administered Iraq until last June.

Sistani leads the five most important clerics, known as Marja Al-Taqlid, or sources of emulation, who had portrayed a more moderate stance going into the election.

The statement was released by Sheikh Ibrahim Ibrahimi, a representative of Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Ishaq Al-Fayad, another of the Marja. ??All of the ulema and Marja, and the majority of the Iraqi people, want the national assembly to make Islam the source of legislation in the permanent constitution and to reject any law that is contrary to Islam,? said the statement.

A source close to Sistani announced soon after the release of the statement that the leader backed the demand. ??We warn officials against a separation of the state and religion, because this is completely rejected by the ulema and Marja and we will accept no compromise on this question,? said Ibrahimi.

US Vice President Cheney told Fox News: ??They will do it their way. They will do it in accordance with their culture and their history and their beliefs and whatever role they decide they want to have for religion in their society. And that??s as it should be.?

Meanwhile, four Egyptians working for a mobile phone company were abducted by gunmen in Baghdad, and militants threatened to kill an Italian journalist by today unless Italy agreed to withdraw its troops.

http://www.arabnews.com/?page=4&section=0&article=58624&d=7&m=2&y=2005

He definately has an agenda but there is 40% of the population that doesn't really care and Shi'ite moderates that will negotiate.
You may think that Sistani in charge would have stopped the war but I really believe that it just would have esculatated tensions with the Kurds and especially the Sunnis.

OK there is no Conspiracy going on here.....The USA is being sold off to China and the Bushites are getting rich from it so they don't care. China has threatened us but ecognomically and they stand a good chance of winning. China just offered more money for Unocal and they are rethinking the offer...how many US factories have closed? All China has to do is transfer its dollars to euros and our economy would collapse...

It may very well pass BECAUSE of who has been elected....I mean look at who Bush chose for Labor Sec...

President-George W. Bush's choice to head the Labor Department, Elaine Chao, and her father have extensive personal ties to communist China's President Jiang Zemin -- contact described as "regular" and "deep..

"she comes into [Bush's] Cabinet with a more intimate relationship with the president of China than with the president of the United States."

I'm gradually making my way through...ALOT of links you know! :D This was something right off the bat...nice link:
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) was a major international bank. At its peak, it operated in 78 countries and had over 400 branches and claimed assets of $25 billion.

It was embroiled in the world's worst financial scandal in 1991. It was found to be involved in money laundering, bribery, "support of terrorism, arms trafficking, and the sale of nuclear technologies;... the commission and facilitation of income tax evasion, smuggling, and illegal immigration; illicit purchases of banks and real estate". The bank was found to be effectively worthless. $13 billion was unaccounted for.

Sounds like quite the establishment!

You takin' candy from babies again....YOU BASTARD!!!!!!!! lol On the real side, if a corporation is found dirty hang em' high! I don't believe in shackling down big buisiness but it better run with integrity! Example: Enron- Big boys should have liquidated with all funds put towards the pensions that were stolen and all should be doing time in a federal pen....not the gulf course one either. Let the fuckers deal with a 350# dude looking for a virgin ass!!!
For the record...not a Republican...Can't handle democrats at all! Libertarian all the way. :D
