The pact, which could lead to a free trade agreement between Washington and Baghdad, was signed during a meeting of the US-Iraq Joint Commission on Reconstruction and Economic Development in Amman, Jordan.
The trade and investment framework agreement, or TIFA, establishes a joint council to work on a wide range of commercial issues, USTR said on Monday.
"Iraq is making a major effort to reintegrate into the international economy and the meetings of the joint council should assist Iraq in this important endeavour," Assistant US Trade Representative Ashley Wills said in a statement.

No summer time blues
Shouting out, Look at me
In my rock 'n' roll voice
Ain't no fun waiting round to be a millionaire

There was a GCC conferance where the members stated that they wanted the Dinar to be within their midrange....that would be somewhere between .33-3.29IQD/1USD. Just waiting for debt forgiveness from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. :D

I wouldn't be so sure about that...they have been real forgiving so far:
"Kuwait has taken all necessary measures to be the gateway for business involved in Iraqâ??s reconstruction," the Ambassador said, citing Kuwaitâ??s work in helping companies transit to Iraq through the Abdali border area, in developing Kuwait-Iraq trade, and in ensuring the free flow of goods across the Iraqi border. "This delegation will discuss how Kuwait can facilitate the presence of foreign companies and encourage them to invest in Kuwaitâ??s economy as a way to enter Iraqi markets."
