At least the ones I met in real life were. But most of the smokers here are such condescending assholes. I have encountered only a handful of very sweet people here, people who take your posts seriously, but then you have the insecure teenager that feels the need to be "cool" and prove what a unique individual they are or the loser grown man that aslo has insercurity issues and feels the need to crack a joke in every post as to hide what is really going on inside him or the slutty girl that thinks the world is her cock.

Just because this is a weed website doesn't mean you have to act like a retard to get attention. Some people actually come here to vent and talk about things in their life. And don't tell me this is stricly a pot website because everyone starts a thread about something other than pot.

You know who you are and you need to take a look within yourself and wonder why you're like this. Why do you feel happy out of another persons sadness. When did smoking weed relate to being a jerk? it must surely be an internet thing. because I doubt that you would act like this in real life if someone turned to you for comfort & support. And if you are really like this in your real life then it's no wonder you spend 18 hours out of the day seeking validation for the poor excuse of a human being you are.

Some of you that are the person i'm describing will post snarky ass remarks in this thread and I take it as a signature of you being the asshole you are.

It's the internet, what did you expect? Tea and roses? I agree with some of what you say but here, as in life, you have to take the good with the bad. If you are going to let a few losers ruin it for you, then public message boards are probably not for you. The rest of the board staff and I try as hard as we can to keep the negativity to a minimum, but we cannot be everywhere at once, and we also have to try to strike a balance between letting people express themselves and keeping control. Too much either way is a bad thing. I'm sorry that you feel the way you do, but I cannot imagine what you would have us do about it. In a perfect world, everything would be wonderful and sunny and full of love and good cheer, but this is real life where nothing is ever perfect.

A lot of people (myself included, sometimes) either take on completely different personalities, or just come across as being assholes because we can't see the body language or hear the tone of voice. It's a complicated thing, and one we need to work around, because it can never really go away.

Some of you that are the person i'm describing will post snarky ass remarks in this thread and I take it as a signature of you being the asshole you are.

I thought I would find a ton of good people here but boy was I wrong.

im not trying to be mean or fucked up but why you apologizing to her? Sure there are some assholes...BUT i dont think YOU need to apologize for other people...no1 is obligated to apologize to this women ESPECIALLY when she spews out as much negativity as the "assholes" she is speaking of.

I'll second that. it drives me crazy when people make a massive paragraph with substandard (meaning rediculously bad) grammar, and not a bit of punctuation, not to mention changing every word possible to "becuz, 2, ppl," etc. just makes it hard to read.

ex:

I 2d dat drvs me teh nuts whn ppl make hgue sntnces wth crppy gramer and no pnctuation nt to mentn chngin evry wrd pssible 2 "because, second, people" jst makes it hard to reed.

all i was saying is that I do not read those posts because they hurt my eyes. As you said, we are all stoners, so I guess if you dont want to take the effort to use semi-proper grammar, then I guess not many people will take the effort to read them. Quite the conundrum, if you ask me. ;)

Some people are assholes... That is just how things are everywhere... :( I thought that people in the South were supposed to be very friendly (that Southern Hospitality that they tote down here) and I was shocked when I moved to Virginia and realized most of the people I was meeting here sucked and were rude (even in places you wouldn't expect, like in restaraunts- the waitresses can be especially mean)... Maybe there are some assholes (I dunno yet, I'm fairly new here) yeah, but that is the story in anything you get into. You can't let a few bad people ruin your entire experience here.
