View Full Version : Etiquette Question

Here's a question I'd love some input on.... So, my main source is a bit intermittent (basically a friend with benefits, who also has a hookup). If he doesn't feel like hanging out or is a bit dry (which it has been lately), I'm in a sad state.

However, there is another guy whom I've hung out with a bit, & he's moving away in a couple of weeks (kind of a bummer, because I really like him, but that's another sob story). I know he smokes, & am pretty certain he's got good connections. So here's my question: would it be an impropriety for me to ask him nicely to help a girl out before he leaves, & help me out with a better source?

I've always got my weed from friends, so I'm sort of new to actually buying from someone I don't personally know already. But I'm tired of the hit-or-miss options I have now, & would like to have something a bit more reliable. Shoot, if they did deliveries, I'd be in heaven... once or twice a month would do me, & I'd tip generously too, lol. Ok, that's my query, have at it! :)

yeah, if hes moving what have you got to lose??? just ask him in a nice way, whats the worse that could happen? hed say no, and thatd be that. plus think of the benefits of having a good connection, all the time. i say go for it.

Definately go for a connection getting off of mates you just won't get as good a deal and like you said its so unreliable .

yes, I would not mind hooking up a freind if I was moving out. It is a nice thing for the dealer, (who is losing a steady customer and may be glad for the replacement) and the friend.

it would help your future greatly too if you could put together as much $$$ as you can then ask him to introduce you to his guy, thus moving up a peg or two on the underground ladder and setting yourself up to fill the hole being left. or just getting cheaper deals in the future is good incentive...

Yay, thanks very much for the feedback... pretty much what I was hoping to hear! :)

Del, a lil confused about your idea though (ok, so I need a nap already). Do you mean buy more at first? I don't really even go through that much (sorta a lightweight hehe), but I suppose I could always just cook with it or something. Money isn't a huge problem as I have a moderate 'play' budget. This may also be a good time to admit that I am a bit clueless at amounts & such... another downfall of getting from friends. My usual friend just gives me enough for awhile, then lets me know how much.

Ok, I realize that's a bit lame on my part, but I'm finally trying to be a big girl & figure it all out. For now though, naptime.

Definetly get him to hook you up. I would also say buy in bulk. You seem a bit skittish about the dealer thing... the more you buy the less you have to actually make deals.

Maybe someone from YOUR area could post prices... I'd hate for this to turn into another "You pay to much... here's what I pay thread" but someone with accurate regional pricing would obviously be a big help.

If you smoke on a somewhat regular basis, get an ounce and see how long that takes to you waste. I'm guessing that will do you for a month or so.

Keep in mind though... even with several solid connections, buying is a hassle. Unless they are full time dealers, you have to work around the persons schedule and life style.

only thing thats rude in that circumstance is if you were steppin on toes and going behind backs trying to climb your way up so u get a better connect, ppl try doin that to me but my connects dont take new clientel unless i personally introduce em

mono... not really skittish, just uneducated & not wanting to look silly. I figured better in here where nobody really knows me. :)

Del & Kali... I didn't realize there was a 'ladder' (see what I mean?). Anyone care to expound a bit, for the sake of enlightening this clueless but sweet young lady? lol

Ahem... anyone? Not trying to be a pain, just really am curious, if anyone could please be so kind. ;) I figure if not here, then where?

When my friend left he gave me 2 hookups. I have to say go for it.

Right... I got an answer to that, but thanks! :) I'm wondering about the stuff I asked about in post #12 of this thread... the stuff that Del & Kali vaguely alluded to.

If you are buying joints or a gram, then you are at the bottom of the ladder. I buy from a friend who is just doing me a favor while buying his own, so I'm even below that...
But if you get hooked up with a guy that sells 1/4 lbs., then you are up a couple of rungs on the ladder. You are then at the point where you can sell to a few friends and smoke your small profits.
It's just like Tupperware...the more you can "move" the higher on the ladder you will go.

But since I now grow and my first crop is in trich-watch, I'm a little bit like God on my ladder. :)

Definitely do it...

It's good to have a steady reliable go to guy. Plus, you would be meeting him through a friend of yours so he's not exactly "some dude" on the street.

You don't want to have to depend on your friends for your smoke.

The more hands the smoke goes through the more it costs because every dealer adds on their cut. Plus the higher up the ladder you get to the source your probably going to get cheaper, fresher, and just plain better smoke.

Why don't you just do mail order weed?

Woot, thanks for the answers, y'all! It's nice to finally be figuring all this out. DJ... good question; I'd like to but am just as unsure about that whole scene as well. Thanks, thanks, thanks! :)
