Hey all, I have a plant growing outside, the winds have been especially strong this year and the stalk has bent over. Does anyone have any good advice to help strengthen the stalk? Will it recover if I prop it up? it's about 8" high right now, on it's third set of leaves and about 4 weeks old.
What are you feeding it? Yes definitly prop it up, get a string or something to hold it up. If its really windy and your doing an outside grow, I would suggest on starting something inside if you can. If you're feeding it and giving it the nutrients and zinc it needs, try increasing it a little bit because the plant might be damaged from being bent over in some spots.

Thanks for the reply... 15-30-15 and watering when the top 1/2 inch of soil is starting to dry out, which is about every day and a half. Then I do a full soak until the water runs out the bottom of the container.

1. 8 inches high
2. 4 weeks old
3. 3rd set of leaves.
Sorry bro but you got bigger problems than wind.
Wanna start all over? :)

Thanks Harddon, I will leave this one to nature and see what happens. Luckily I do have a couple Au' Natural plants that are about 8' high that have been growing since March. A friend sent me the seeds for this one and I wanted to see what would happen. :)

Well hell why you only wanna show us the runts :)
SHow me that 8' tall tomato plant...
SHe ought to be starting her flowering just about now...
All my outdoor plants are flowering....
NOT ONE FRICKIN MALE!
NOT ONE.
6 outside plants plus 2 inside = 8 Plants grown past one month and 8 females.
I think that says something about sex being determined between weeks 3 and 4.
All were in perfect conditions in early May when the temps were 70F in light and 60F in dark......
Makes me go hmmmmmmmm.....
ZERO STRESS = HIGHER FEMALE RATIO :)

Okay Harddon, here is a pic of the 2 ladies growing all natural. I have not done anything with these, I have just let nature take it's course. Down close to them, I would say about 8 1/2 to 9ft.
