Guess you could say Im sort of new to this whole game, but because of my consumption of the blessed herb, I decided to give the grow thing a try. I purchased two different strains from Nervana. One is Northern Lights that I chose because of ease of grow and the other was one I tried while in Amsterdam witch is Ice... They seem to be coming along fairly well except for what would appear to be burning or drying as well as yellowing at the tips of the leaves... The other just doesnt seem to want to get out of its relaxed state... Guess you could say its stoned before it could even produce any THC... I hope thats a good thing when it comes time to harvest... I got them growing under a 1000w MH thats about 2 feet from thier face and have the room at about 90f... Not sure if its due to the nutrients Im using, so I ordered a 3 pack of GH Flora... If the pictures arent good enough to tell what the trouble could be, I could take more, just let me know... They are both at about 3 weeks and I have 4 more getting ready to join them in the party room... Would like to know if this is normal or if Im missing something... Would hate for this to be something bad and have it spread to the others... Any help would be a good thing so feel free to advise...
It looks like defficiency of nutrients too me. Pic2 obviously has some problems with the nutrients balance because of the leafs not being able to support them self. Im thinking it could almost be lack of zinc, but with lack of zinc your leafs start to rott. Hmmm I would suggest doing what Zandor told you to do. Get a TDP to determine your nutrient levels and the heat coming off your light. It could just be a hydration problem. Pic1 = Lack of zinc. Its rotting the leafs at the end. :O. I dont know if you'll be able to save those they're so small, you might not have enough time unless someone on here or you go out and get your TDP and the supplys you need today..

1000w MH??? 2 feet is way to close for those young plants...that is as close as I run my 650w. 400w MH/250w hps...You look like you are wilting them either by burning
them, because your light's too close or you have overfertilized...young plants like these in hydro you should run 25-33% nutes mixture, not the recipe on the bottles, especially if you are new and growing with high priced seeds...IMHO...goodluck...
remember weeds will grow with no fertilizer, too much does not increase potency, it kills them...............

im thking latewood is right on the light is to close by the burnt edge's of your leaf. but as for the nute's get a pin for your ppm/ec like a truncheon meter..most of the time if you over fert your plant will curl up not down..looks like a lack of? you mite keep your eye's on your ph as it may be a little acitic or not but it is a big part of it......the king

So far, you guys who have posted gave me some good ideas along with what I have read, Im going to agree with you. The heat was a problem... Not only from the lamp but also from the room... I have moved my grow to a much cooler room and also added in some exhaust hose and an in line exhaust fan... This fucking grow is getting really fucking expensive... Funny thing about it, I thought Ide grow to save some money LOL.... Well, hopefully if I get it all dialed in rite it will save me some money in the long run... My ppm are at about 300... Would you say thats to high? I check the ph daily and ajust it to 5.3 to 6... Heres a real kick in the ass that you guys might want to know about. Everything I have read seems to point to my micro nuts, so I belived. I didnt think these guys were going to survive so I decided to try a little experimentation of my own. I am still waitng on the GH Flora I ordered but thought these little ladys were going to drop before it got here so I took matters into my own hands. I take a Mega Man Preformance and Vitality pack every day that contains all the needed nuts these plants seemed to be lacking... So with hammer in hand I smashed and squeezed the entire pack into a gallon of water and fed some to my plants. In times of desperation, one would try just about anything... Kick me in the dick if these plants dont seem to be doing better. There color is coming back and they are beginning to lift once more. Shit I might be on to something here :D ... When the new nuts come in Im going to mix fresh with about 50% or do you think thats to high. Keep in mind that I have got to add in 3 new seedlings that are waiting to join the party but I want to make sure the joint is jumping before I intrudce them to there new friends... If someone could give ne a good starting point would be of great help...

go read soil-vs-hydro @overgrow magazine homepage...It isn't exactly what you are doing, but if you read it you will find alot of useful ideas and information...I conducted the very same test with great results...the article is written by Smoothy in 2004 and if you are new I think the whole article is a how to...my soil plants thrived in his soil recipe and although I don't know if I could've jack-up my nutrients levels in the hydro side ...I had little stress and 14 out of 18 female grown from seed...until 2 hermied yesterday, but I have been watching them...almost was too late on the worst one, but I loved it when he said, I use way less nutrients than most people, hmmm less nutrients=less money...IMHO...we all would like to have a truncheon meter, but when you talk about saving money, you won't accomplish that, because they are expensive, remember a wise old grower once told me to watch your babies, they will tell you when they are sick...and you might want to take a couple of those kickin Amsterdam seeds and put them in the soil mix I mentioned just so you get to try them out...oh well I'm ramblin'...hope this helps...come on to Peace, latewood
