Hi 2 all, for ages ive planned on growing a few trees, this is the stuff ive got so far > lil plant pots, 7'' big plant pots (both are circle), thermometer, saucers, growth technology test kit, 125watt VEG envirolite, 200watt FLOWER envirolite, silver reflector, 2 E40 fittings with plugs, 1 big pc fan with 2 little cpu fans connected 2 it,

Grow room size is about 5 foot tall, then about 2x2, i think i can do about 2-4 fully grown plants, if im right?

Now i need soil and fertilizers so i was planning on getting this lil list>
Canna Terra Flores - 1 litre = 10.99
Canna Terra Vega - 1 litre = 10.99
Canna Terra Professional - Soil Mix - 50 litre sack 15.99
Canna pH Up - 1 litre
Canna pH Down Grow - 1 litre
Canna pH Down Bloom - 1 litre

Now the question is if i buy that list will that be everything i need 2 start growing a few plants?

Give it a go but leave room for improvement as your skill grows and the plants requirements change. That's not enough room for a full adult plant but you can grow that number just as single colas keep them short they will grow taller as the flower. You just don't have much room for side growth.

2nd try to post...a friend of mine had similar size space and he put fluoro tubes down the side to boost under growth as well as keeping the plant tight...IMHO Latewwod

2x2 is not very large for 4 plants. The real minimum area is 1 sqft for one plant. That really is not much if you think about it. Thatā??s only 6ā? on each side of the main stock for shoots to grow. If you only grow shorter single cola plants then you will not have shoots growing on the side and the plant will be thinner. You could then fit the number you want to grow in that space. Itā??s still tight but with Mylar it would work. 2x2 is not enough room for sidelight so you can only grow with top light.

I meant nothing disrespectable at all. In truth I thought that short statement saved me from writing out this long worded explanation. Guess I was wrong.

Anyway how are you monitoring the Ph and the TDS?

Donā??t forget about monitoring the temperature under the lights at the top of the canopy 24/7 with a remote temperature probe.

sup man, in the list i have 2 PH products, im not quite shore what TDS is man?

the lights are these type> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42214&item=4381238150&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V

they dont give off hardly any heat, u can have them like 2cm's away from the top of the plant i think, yeah im gonna get some mylar, i was gonna just use kitchen foil but i'll take your idea.
i wanna buy all if th stuff on that list yeah, haha but know im havin secong thoughts of growing, do u reckon i should buy that list and if so is that all i need 2 get with the stuff ive already got?

Cheers man

P.S, i just read my last post and 2 me it sounded a bit snappy, sorry bout that man

It doesnt say what watt light that is, but for my 100watt light, one of my mothers top leafs are touching it, it has been touching for about 2 weeks and nothing has burnt. I am so thankfull I have those kind of lights lol, but then again my hps can really fuck my plants over if Im not here to keep an eye on them. I would buy that list because this forum is great, any problems with your plants/nutrient diffiecency and any kind of thing you name would get responded too within 24hours. May as well give the growing thing a try, theres a slim to none chance youll fail, it isnt that difficult other than setting up everything and keeping it balanced.

The nutrients are fine. You do need a way to know what the Ph is and what the TDS is of the nutrients you are feeding the plants.

TDS is Total Dissolved Solids it is typically expressed in parts per million (ppm). It is a measurement of mass and determined by weighing A solution of nutrients dissolved in water at a strength of 700 ppm means that there are 700 milligrams if dissolved solids present for every liter of water. A good combo pen is a must for growing healthy plants. You need to know what the Ph is and what level of nutrient balance you are feeding your plants.

I could get into EC measurement and temperature conversation calculations but a good meter will do that for you and save you all that math. There is a direct correlation between EC and TDS. I find TDS is a better way to monitor my nutrients.

I donā??t want to be rude but I donā??t want to confuse you either. Did any of that make any sense?
