i was readign through the shroomery ( www.shroomery.com ) and i came across this method of growing mushrooms, http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/25101 it doesnt mention the use of spores or anything, the only ingredients given are:Grounded brown rice, vermaculite, and water. This seems much too easy, there must be a catch. And every other method involves using spores. And also what is vermaculite, and where can i findit (pictures please) Thanks alot for your help tokers.

You need spores, but they're not to hard to get. Perlite is something in potting soil, beyond that I don't know.

Haha yeah you cant just throw together garden supplies and hope that psilocybin mushrooms will pop up. That's like trying to hatch a chicken out of a marble. :p

Lol.... a marble.. yeah i thoguht it would have not been so easy. But yes it is hard for me to get spores as i am not the legal age to order them.. And im not even old enough to have a credit card sooo... mabye i'll have to wait till im older to make these mushies. I have been wantingto have a decent magic mushroom experience lately and noone has mushrooms around in this town.

Vermiculite - Contains essential nutrients such as iron and magnesium.
Perilite - Is a moisture retaining medium for the shrooms to grow on.
I believe both are obtainable from garden/D.I.Y stores. But you'll have to track down some spores first.

good luck with the shroomage.

I think you can just get spores out of caps.
